Fresh, made to order. Must try the chipotle chicken combo. So delicious.
I’ve been coming here for a couple years. Honestly the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had. The owner is so friendly and recognizes me every time. Really makes me feel like a true local! A must stop if your at mission beach! :)
So glad my work took me to Mission Beach today because that means I got to have lunch at one of the coolest restaurants in the SD area. These guys take grilled cheese and melts to the next level! Be patient. It might take a bit for the owner/cook to get you your food if they’re busy. But I promise it’s worth the wait!
Great food. Amazing options. Huge portions. Fun find here while visiting Mission Beach. Would definitely visit again.
My rating is for the food.I really like the concept of this location. Who doesn't love grilled cheese sandwiches. My group all ordered a different sandwich and they were all good. The fries were also good.The ordering experience needs help. I'm hoping that my experience is an isolated incident. There was only 1 person running the place. Taking orders and making the food. To order we had to wait for him to finish his previous order (15min). Once we placed our order it was another 15-20 min wait.
The food was amazing! The guy that worked there was running the entire show and was STILL able to get my food to me in decent time. I ordered a chipotle chicken grilled cheese and it was perfect. It was fresh, the bread was crispy and hot, there were just the right amount of toppings on it and it tasted great! The fries had been sitting for a while and were not fresh, but since he was a one man show, it was understandable. They were the good kind that I know will be good if heated and fresh. I bought some lumpia also. I am a huge fan of lumpia. Although their lumpia and sauce were not my favorite, I was pleased that it was an option on the menu, reasonably priced and fried fresh. I will definitely visit again next time I am in the Mission Beach area!
They have the best sandwiches ever. I moved to LA and let me tell you I’m so sad I can’t just roll by the beach to grab one:(
The staff was great treated us like kings. Food cauld be better. Tomato soup need to be worked on. Although we finished it.
Great experience! My family tried almost all the sandwiches. JD's was the hands down favorite of everyone. The Mixer was next followed by the Veggie. The rest were great too. Huge and filling. Well worth the price.
