This is a good spot. Our server was very friendly and the food was good. Nothing out of the ordinary bit the chips weâre home made and fresh. I had chicken enchiladas and they were fresh also. The atmosphere was good and tables were kept clean. Iâd dine there again.
Love Fred's. Always a staple to visits out here. The Carne Asado tacos were delicious. And comes with friendly, great service!
Great food and service!
We had one of the best mexican meals we have had in a long time. The carne asada was perfectly cooked, very tender and well seasoned. The adobada pork taco was excellent as well. The chips were crisp and salty and the salsa was great. They also took good care of my pup.
Loved the queso dip and all the yummy tacos we tried. Of course the chips and salsa were on point. If you are looking for some entertainment they had a DJ for Taco Tuesday.

One of the decent Old Town San Diego restaurants. The food is good and the service depending on who you get is great. We have been going there for years and for once more we enjoyed it
The B.A.M was spilt between 3 of us & we could barely taste the alcohol, There was maybe 5 or 6 shots in there. Probably would recommend just getting your own drinks. But the carne asada fries with add garlic fries were hands down the best also there salsa for chips & salsa was pretty great imo

I was craving great Mexican food this weekend, and that is exactly what Fred's delivered. Everything from the margs, to the queso + bean dip, to the taco plate was a flavortown party on my palette. I went with the mahi mahi and carne asada taco, and let me tell you they do NOT skimp on the super high quality meat and flavorful sauces. Highly recommend the chips & queso for a starter! If you are in the mood for Mexican food that fulfills all your cravings, go to Fred's!!
