The service was slow and we asked 3 times before I received a second drink. My steak, although still good, was not great. It was overcooked. Still a decent experience. Maybe just an off night.

This Resturant is one of the only high end Resturants in the Rancho Bernardo/Poway area. It has outstanding steaks and a very impressive menu of a variety of choices. The atmosphere is slightly formal but casual. It is somewhere where you can bring an out of town guest, business colleague or family and have a very enjoyable and relaxing evening and not have to apologies! It is also a great value! Try it!!
The food is excellent and the service is great. The noise level was quite high. Some kids running around wasn't good. The only other problem was when we made the reservations, they promised that our party of 8 could be seated on the patio. When we arrived, they said thay couldn't put 8 people on the patio. So....

Great early dinner. Prime rib was cooked exactly as requested. A bit bland in flavor. Overall, nice relaxing experience.
We enjoy Carvers very much. They offer a steakhouse menu within a casual environment, and at great prices. Service is consistently friendly and attentive. The reason for my 4 Star (rather than 5 Star) rating at this time is that the steaks that all three of the people in my party ordered for medium rare came to us quite rare. This is the first time that preparation of our steaks did not meet our request, and I can definitely overlook one "miss". We will definitely return to Carvers again.
