Well cooked gator, light and fluffy beignets, simple zesty fries, and refreshing sweet tea. No complaints from me.

Great Culture Food!! The only so called Black/ Soul Food joint in Point Loma I’ve seen so far. The beans and rice or mac and cheese with fried shrimp is ?

Had a fantastic catfish po'boy. Fries were excellent. Staff was nice and friendly.

We got catfish that tasted fishy, not sure if it's supposed to be that way, but the catfish we've had at other places didn't taste fishy.

Cashier was really nice! The seafood gumbo tasted really good and was very flavorful, but quite tiny (just one cup).

The sausage link Po-boy is my go-to here. Can't go wrong!

Haven’t had this spot in over a year and now I remember why I stopped coming. Got the catfish poboy and the lettuce was soggy and old, bread was ehh but the worst was the “catfish” tasted nothing like catfish and everything like fish left out for a couple days and unwashed. I couldn’t get past the first bite and threw it away. Mac and cheese also had a moldy food type of taste and the rice in the red beans and rice was hard. Even besides the foul taste it was not soul food at all and absolutely not worth the price. I am disgusted and working hard to scrub the taste from my tongue

This is for people who enjoy spice and flavor and/or are interested in what Gullah culinary influence can deliver. The jumbalaya w shrimp was so tasty, and their red beans and rice are straight up comfort food. Definitely going back for more. Service was friendly and helpful. Menu has accurate descriptions of the food
