the prices are great the food is even better.

I appreciate that they tell you which fish are wild caught versus farmed. I ordered the rock cod Cajun style with rice and a side of asparagus for extra $. Fish was cooked well, not overdone and I loved all the extra lemon they give if you ask. However, the Cajun spice was not spicy at all despite having a chili pepper next to it on the menu. Of the three spears of asparagus they gave me, 1/3 of each spear was inedible and should have been cut off before cooking so it wasn’t worth paying extra for.

I've been multiple times, most times it is just underwhelming, however, today was my last try.Fish was not fresh & very hard, fries were cold and soggy (around noon) could only really taste the grill - fish was black with grill bits as if the grill had not been cleaned in months.10/10 do not recommend.

Orders are fish n’ ships and shrimp taco. The taste is bland, more like fast food. The sauce is not good, looks like it came from a jar from Walmart.

Wait staff was uninterested. Fish and chips served on a top of old and cold french fries. I asked for fresh fries and they immediately brought a bowl of more old and cold french fries. More batter on fish than fish. Disappointed.

We ordered Grill Shrimp and Fish & Chips. Didn't like the Shrimp at all. It tasted like artificial crab shaped like shrimp, never felt like Shrimp. Kids didn't like the fried fish as well. French fries & bean was good. Overall not an good experience.

Nice simple easy seafood. It’s a really good place for a quick workday lunch. I’ll say you can’t compare this place with a real seafood restaurant. But for a fast food place, it’s pretty impressive. I love my salmon and swai fish combo, with Cole slaw and bean soup. My husband enjoys his fried catfish and chips as well. The plating is kind of poor, but the taste is very nice. I’ll recommend you this place if you are looking for a quick seafood meal.

We just ate for the first time at California Fish grill. We ate at the Carmel Mountain location but that was not listed as a choice so I’m writing on this location. It is a chain so I’m sure they’re serving the same food at all locations. My dinner was so awful, I had to write a review. My husband and I both got the fish and chips. It was so greasy, and the fish was mushy on the inside. All batter, no fish. The worst I’ve ever had! I ate about half of one piece of fish and was nauseous, using 5 napkins to wipe my face and hands from all the grease! The fish on the plates going by looked “pressed flat” with grill marks. I’m not sure it’s a real piece of fish, maybe fish bits pressed together. I don’t know. But, beware. I would never go there ever again. So bad. Sorry

This place is amazing. The staff are very nice and the food is delicious. Special thanks to Francisco and Lissette. The cooks are excellent with preparing the good. 10 stars

The food was quick, super fresh, and delicious. The prices are very good, especially for the quality. Very nice place for a quick bite
