The coffee is SO GOOD.I had a Bicerin and a Cappuccino, and my friend had a Viennese. They we're all delicious! We didn't get to try the food because the chef was out sick, but I'm definitely coming back to try that pizza! The service was great, super nice staff, it was close to closing and they gave us pastries for free since we couldn't get food The restaurant is HUGE, so many areas to sit indoors and also an outside area. Great place to do some work, or to meet with friends and talk, since it's not super loud.Parking sucks, but we went in the weekday so we were able to park in the Chase parking lot a block down in front of Queen Bee's and it wasn't crazy expensive. $5 for 2 hrs I think, then $3/hr after that.
Is this the best neapolitan pizza in San Diego? I'm inclined to say yes. Check out their happy hour specials. Also the gluten free dough here is actually pretty good which is RARE.
The pizzas here are great. Delicious tomato sauce and a nice, thin crust. Service is quick, the staff is polite, and the cafe has a nice atmosphere for reading or working or having conversations with friends.
This place in North Park is like a real Italian hip coffee house.. Exclusively decorated by the talented owner has evolved to a level as could easily be seen in architectural magazines. You can always find a comfortable spot either for privacy or on the parkway on 30th.. All coffee expertly roasted inhouse... you will be impressed and a return customer... will impress anyone .
Loved the desserts and the vibe here ? the staff is super friendly. The seating space is amazing. Would love to sit here and work. Coffee was a bit too sweet. But you can ask them to adjust.
As a New Yorker at heart, it’s hard for me to find pizza that I really enjoy. On many occasions, I’ve sought pizza only to find saucy cheesy bread, which is pizza-like but still not pizza. In this review, however, you’ll find that I was pleasantly surprised by Caffé Calabria, which is named after a southwest region in Italy, plus the word “caffé,” which translates roughly to “cafe.”ServiceAh, so here’s a tip for you: don’t try to [unintentionally] gaslight the guy at the counter by asking how the pizza will arrive at your table even though you didn’t order pizza. Only if you’re lucky will he laugh at your attempts to brush it away with a joke. I was not lucky.AtmosphereAt Calabria Caffé, there’s indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is limited to a few tables against the building and near the street. Indoor seating is limited to the indoors - yep.FoodArugula and prosciutto pizza was so good. On the drinks front, the Negroni Royale was very nice and so was the espresso martini, which was slightly bitter. I’d be curious to try the other pizzas and drinks.PriceAffordableRecommend?Yes
