Love it. The mimosa flight is awesome and so are the homemade chips. I enjoyed the shrimp corn cake. Very nice flavors. I love that the menu isn't run off the mill and the presentation is very nice.
Cute little breakfast spot in University Heights. Not the usual breakfast food that you can get anywhere. Everything is creatively made. I had tiramusu pancakes which I highly recommend. It was rich, creamy, and flavorful. It tasted just like tiramisu but not as sweet as tiramusu. My friend had the French toast which was fluffy and was very light. Food was a little overpriced as the portion is quite small. If you like a large breakfast plate perhaps you should order two items. $$$$ you pay for the experience, good vibe, and the service. Everyone should come here once, but probably just once.
An absolute delight! From the atmosphere, to the gorgeous green outdoor environment, the friendly servers, to the delicious food and unique drinks. Our entire brunch experience was amazing!Side note- the wait is fairly long on the weekends, an hour+.
This place is hands down one of my favorites in San Diego! The ambience, the customer service, and the quality of the food blows most other restaurants out of the water! The food is always presented so artistically and every bite of every dish is an absolute flavor bomb! The drinks are also delicious and generous on the alcohol if you are wanting a breakfast cocktail or mimosa! This is the place to take friends for brunch too! Everything is tapas style and shareable!
At first I wasn’t super sure about this spot, as they’re primarily a small plates restaurant that seemed a bit pricey. However, the food was remarkably good. Everything I ordered was truly delectable and very fresh tasting.The atmosphere is alright as well. Very quick and simple service. I don’t know when I’ll be back but I do think this is a reliably good breakfast/brunch spot.
The service and food were fabulous. We were a party of 5 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I had the short rib omelet. The meat was soft and cooked to perfection! I highly recommend Cafe 21!!
Really great food at this little brunch place. The plates are small but the chefs take a lot of time and care to plate things beautifully. The drinks are just as unique and delicious as the food. Definitely recommend this place for a light brunch with fantastic coffee and cocktails.

This place has great character and energy. The servers friendly and warm attitudes mirror the ambiance. The bloody Mary was superb and so was the Spring Thyme brunch cocktail.
