They treat you like family here. Walked from the airport ready to feast and they delivered! Greeted w/warm smiles, beautiful outdoor seating, and irresistibly fresh bread/marinara. Followed by the best homemade meatballs and farfalle con pollo, presented w/freshly shaved Parmesan and hot damn I feel GOOD! The star of India street. Mad respect.
The service was amazing! This is a beautiful little neighborhood filled with Italian food and desserts. I would highly recommend this restaurant as well as the string of them that all are connected and owned by the same company. I will be sure to return on my next trip. The only thing I would recommend is a little better pronunciation on the dishes. It is a little difficult to order a dish in another language when you can not pronounce what you would like to order and have to point at the menu you say what you would like.
We stopped at random during a tour of Little Italy and it did not disappoint. I wish we had sat outside because it was a beautiful day despite being overcast (hindsight). Either way, the food, atmosphere, and service were amazing. I had the spinach and cheese ravioli, which were so light and airy I could have been eating clouds. Definitely a must-visit should you find yourself in the area!
Little Italy is a neat neighborhood. We searched for a restaurant that could accommodate gluten-free and chose Buon Appetito. They made a GF pasta with clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops that was fabulous. Hubby (not gluten-intolerant) had fried squash blossoms and pasta with duck ragout (Fusilli argu d'anatra) - delicious but too much food!
Amazing folks and lovely, lovely dinner!!We visited on a Saturday for dinner and we’re seated right away. Their b complimentary bread was fresh, warm and smelled amazing! It isn’t the best bread I’ve had, but it was good.I tried the Spinach Ravioli in a creamy red sauce. My friend asked for an aglio e olio and liked what he got!If you’re looking for a Italian restaurant in Little Italy, look no further! Go here! ?
Very nice place and service. My server, Marko was very attentive and between him and the rest of the staff made me have a very enjoyable lunch in the outside area of the restaurant.I recommend the Beef Carpaccio as a starter!
This was the best food I had on our recent trip to San Diego. We were staying downtown and it is a short Uber or Lyft away. We had the opportunity to sit outside. The service was amazing. I would recommend visiting Buon Appetito in Little Italy in San Diego.
We wanted to try a restaurant in Little Italy and were disappointed. Started with drink options when we only could choose from wine or beer. Then we ordered for appetizers an order of arancini balls. When we took a bite all of ours were frozen cold in the middle. I ordered the orecchiette with crumbled sausage. It really lacked seasoning and the sausage was not crumbled but in large pieces. The other entrees were also just fair. My favorite part was the outside patio and all the lightning.
Server was great. Food was good.Pasta was excellent but steaks were cooked way over (well done) and had no seasoning. However, they refired the steaks and they came out near perfect. The problem was that the rest of the party had completed their meals 20 minutes prior to the refired steaks coming back out.Again, the server was great and they comp'd the steak and threw in dessert as well.I'd go back and try them again.
One of the best Osso bucco we've ever had! side mushroom risotto was very delicious too. Big portion though, my husband and I tried really hard, couldn't finish this super tasty entree. Great food, great service, great atmosphere! They have big outdoor dining area on sidewalk which is fun and safe. Reservation recommended, especially for dinner.
