I love this place! The workers were so welcoming and accommodating and the food is amazing. Best Crawfish Etouffee I've ever had!!
Bud’s is one of the best Cajun/Creole restaurants in San Diego county. Tucked away in a business park at Kearny Mesa’s eastern edge, they are known for their gumbos, grits, and alligator sausage. I really like the red beans, rice, and chicken entree, as well as their bisque. The fried pickles are pretty killer as well. The owner is really friendly and cool!
The service was great starting with the Hostess. Waiting staff friendly and fast. Atmosphere was great even though it was busy lunch time. Food was worth the drive fron Chula Vista. Have to go back and try the seafood Gumbo.
Some of the best and most affordable southern/creole style food in SD. I always stop by when I'm in the area.
Sweet Tea was amazing. Corn beard delicious and the red beans and rice were great. There are so many things on the menu I want to try. Buds is small on the inside so it gets packed pretty quick. Do yourself a favor and reserve a table if your going on a lunch break.
Very nice ambiance and friendly staff. Mixed feelings about the food. The jambalaya was a little dry but I exchanged a piece of catfish instead of a chicken thigh and that was fantastic. Really good catfish. I think next time I'm there, and there will be a next time, I'll try the catfish maybe with some pasta. I would definitely suggest a visit. The warm environment really makes you feel at home. It was very very good. I've also got to give an A+ to the sweet tea. That's the compliment to any spicy meal.
Excellent service and the quality of the food is outstanding. Not much on ambience inside, nice outside dining area. Enthusiastic hostess no waiting to be seated at 11:30 but completely full by noon. Fast service and pleasant waitress. Highly recommended.

Bud's is delicious! The employees are nice and the service was good. Our server, Andrew, was very nice and attentive. He checked on us multiple times, answered our questions, made recommendations, offered drink refills, took empty plates and offered desert. The soft shell crab was my favorite. The bread pudding desert is also very tasty. All the food came out hot too! I hate sending food back to heat it up or just eating it lukewarm so getting it all very hot was a relief and really appreciated. I live nearby and can't believe this was my first time here. I'll definitely be back and I highly recommend.
Solid Cajun cuisine. Sweet tea! A rare delicacy in Cali. Authentic beignets! Service was fast, warm and friendly, and we were seated immediately.
