Absolutely loved this place; our first time and we were impressed. We had a party of 10 and they took care of us promptly and comfortably. Food was fantastic as were the mimosa samplers. The San Diego location didn't let us down, great experience.
OMG! The Churro French Toast was soo good. Highly recommend it ? My boyfriend got the Hash Skillet. Got put on a wait list but for two people it wasn't that long of a wait. Got seated quickly, order in and food all within an hour.
Food was absolutely delicious ? We are from out of town and didn’t know where to eat. We were hungry and honestly I’m so glad we landed at Broken Yolk restaurant. I had the Crunchy French toast combo with scrambled eggs and Turkey sausage Patties. My husband had the Chicken Fried Steak with hash-browns, scramble eggs, and buttermilk biscuits. We left our plates empty. And walking out full and happy.
Nice older restaurant. Service was good if a bit unexperienced. The food was well done. I has tye montecristo and it was a good balance of everything. The hashbrowns could have been better there were still soggy areas and burnt areas. The pancakes were basic but fluffy. The mimosa flight was ok, just some sparkling wine with mixed juices (orange, lemonade, cranberry, and grapefruit).
It's the broken yolk, good food. There is something for everyone. Service was good. We were.sat put in the sun directly beating on us. Sat in the corner outside.....no one puts baby in the corner... next to service table....guess it was nice because we helped ourselves to extra napkis, coffee and water. If you have pets bring them. It was not ccool sitting next to a couple of BARKING DOGS..NOT COOL. Silverware was dirty and got a dirty glass. Besides that it was all good.

Broken Yolk is good, conistent comfort food, exactly what you expect. The portions are generous and the food delicious. And one of the most important breakfast components for me, the coffee is good.
This franchise is my go to breakfast place in San Diego for over 35 years.Even though my previous visits have been in Pacific Beach, this location ( my first visit) did not disappoint. Came on a Friday, but no waiting! Staff were very friendly. And the food is excellent. I will be back in this area in 6 months, and I'll come here for sure!!!
I took my son's to celebrate valentine's day they never been we all enjoyed our meals and I it was good costumer service and food was out quickly but hot and just how we ordered we will be back
