I ordered the rolled tacos and a grilled chicken caesar salad. The salad was good but there wasn't very much chicken in the rolled tacos. The server was pleasant enough and I was able to walk right in and be seated, despite it being Comic-con.
Fantastic breakfast well worth it! Large drinks delivered promptly, huge serving sizes, and great atmosphere. The tiki toast was delicious and my favorite breakfast to date! The chicken was cooked perfectly with just enough crunch and wonderfully moist. 10/10 would recommend!!
We came here on our last day in SD because of the numerous 4-5star ratings.. Which turns out to be a perfectly good example of why I review on Google to begin with: to give honest feedback and give customers a chance to know what they're getting into.This restaurant should simpley be named Just Another Dennys/IHOP. The pancakes come out large and beautiful, but they were chewy and mediocre in texture and flavor. Topped with a great lump of real butter, but no maple syrup to be found. If you're a breakfast nook with such traffic, you can't serve corn syrup garbage on the table.. You just can't..Sausage links were the highlight, believe it or not.. Larger than normal links, good flavor... .cool. Good job purchaser.Eggs, scrambled, came out flat. Just look at the numerous photos on Google to see the egg atrocity.. Still edible, but Waffle House does scrambled eggs better, without a doubt.Mimosa flight was cheap bubbly with concentrated juices: nothing real, nothing fresh.Writing this is making me want to drop it two stars, but we have to remember that this diner is what Americans have grown accustomed to.. It's not even their fault, it's the Americans' fault.
Had the country skillet and it was delicious and huge. I was starving so I ate almost all of it. I wasn’t sure about the gravy when it arrived but it was delicious and tied it all together. Just a great dish. Nice lean ham on it. The ingredients tasted fresh and the kitchen is in open view of the restaurant so not hiding anything. I really enjoyed it.
0600 arrival for when they opened. John W. was our server; quick on his feet, polite, The cold brew is excellent, served in a Mason jar! I ordered lemon ricotta pancakes with bacon and sausage, my boyfriend ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon. Coffee was promptly refilled without having to ask! Delicious pancakes! Conveniently located directly across street from our hotel. ??☕️ A lot of options that will reach every customer!Visited again today, Saturday 07.16.22; Odhi served us! Tried the Acai bowl with fresh fruit, granola, with a side of bacon, and a single piece of French Toast. The bowl was amazing! Acai sorbet was great! Fresh banana, blueberries, strawberries, shredded coconut... Really hit the spot! Boyfriend had buttermilk pancakes. I chose the cold brew again. Absolutely incredible meal... Wish we had a restaurant like this back home!
We really enjoyed this. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. We had Monte Cristo's. It's been years since I had one and these were perfect
The Broken Yolk has great customer service and large portions. The staff works hard and moves fast to provide a great atmosphere. I loved the messy caramel latte and the create your own omelette. Highly recommend!
One of the only breakfast places open before 7am! Most places here don’t open until 7 or 8 for breakfast which is tough if you are trying to eat breakfast outside of the hotel for an early morning.I ordered the Baja breakfast tacos and they were very good! I was happy with the portions and the side of rice and beans. The rice was a bit dry and hard though. I liked the chicken and eggs specifically but the tortilla was pretty greasy.The restaurant is clean and the staff is very nice. The menu has a little for everyone but not something I would rush back to unless I wanted another early breakfast.
Had breakfast twice during my four day stay for a conference in May 2022. The food was very good and service excellent. Only a couple blocks east of the Convention Center and Petco.
Loved this restaurant, staff friendly, not trying to be something it isn't, good portions and honest food. Good coffee and friendly staff along with tasty food and a great variety catering to all tastes
