My family visited this place for brunch recently on a Sunday morning. Parking could potentially be a challenge as this place is a block from the beach, but we got luck and grabbed a spot right next to the restaurant. Once checked in around 11am we had about a 40 minute wait from arrival to seating. After our wait, we were seated at a table in the back corner. Nice for being out of the middle of the restaurant, but a bit warm without any moving air. Both my kids ordered pancakes for their meals. My wife got the mashed potato omelet and I had the California breakfast burrito. The kids were very satisfied with their pancakes. Neither were able to finish the three large cakes as the portions were ample. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her omelet, which she had ordered partly out of curiosity. I also enjoyed my burrito, though I feel like there could have been a bit more steak and a little less potato.Overall, the whole family enjoyed their meals. While we don't live in San Diego, we'd definitely come back if we're ever in town again. This is definitely a good place to grab brunch on a lazy Sunday morning.
Place was packed. Server was superb. Food was delicious.. I recommend this place
We went twice! Really tasty and good service! Great atmosphere and great selection on the menu! Pancakes were lovely and the breakfast burrito was perfect!
Yummy! Place was highly recommended in San Diego, and it did not disappoint. The portions are big. Had the chillaquiles and they were not spicy at all. Kids had bacon cooked within pancake with a side of maple sausage. Cafe de olla was delicious. Recommend
Always a good sign when there is a line waiting to be seated . We only had to wait about 15 minutes but well worth it . A great selection of omelettes pancakes t pick from . Nice and easy going place
Great food. I had tostadas which were great & hard to find at other restaurants. There was a wait, about 30 mins on a Thursday.
Creative food, excellent service, 1 block to the beach. What could better? The Elvis was amazing. You had me at banana fosters. No, you had me at peanut butter! Why not both! Bloody Mary was also amazing. Portugese sausage scramble was ok. I would have liked larger pieces of sausage. But small complaint. Love this place!
Went here for brunch with my kids and the food was amazing! My waitress was extremely attentive and kind! The staff was great. I definitely recommend, will go again.
There is a walk up container like outside the restaurant called Eggies. Good fast breakfast. Love the breakfast in a jar.
This place has zero tolerance for disability and vulnerable population. The staff argued with me about concept of fairness when he clearly could see I am 8 months pregnant and could barely walk! It’s disgusting to see how an uneducated ignorant, and misogynistic guy is a front facing person in a restaurant! Here is the story: we wanted to be seated outside. He said 29 min wait. After 10 min we said okay seat us inside. We placed the order but my friend noticed that the outdoor tables are becoming empty. We asked our sever if he could switch us. He went to the front guy and the dude took us out of the restaurant, canceled our order and put us at the end of the line! I asked why is he doing this. He said we are trying to be fair! I said don’t you see I am pregnant? How is that fair? I can barely walk and you are dragging us out again? He shows me his phone with a picture of an altar sound and said my gf is pregnant too! At this point I realized he has something against us and so we left.
