The ambiance is great, but the service was very lacking. This was very disappointing considering it's part of such a nice resort. There weren't any menus with information on allergens; the servers didn't know either. One from our party has a gluten allergy so they ordered a salad to be safe. They let it be known that there was a gluten allergy, but it still came with a breaded and deep-fried artichoke.just in general, the servers and bartender seemed to disappear for long periods of time. You can see.the people at other tables all looking around for their servers. The food was decent and the prices were a bit high for what you get, but the poor level of service is what got the most attention.
The atmosphere and staff are wonderful. The fare is a little pricey, but everything tasted good. I had the carnitas tacos. They were delicious, but they had too much meat. It doesn't give you a break from the rich, oily carnitas. It would have been better paired with a salad. I went on a Friday night, and they had live music, which was a plus.
The view other then that the the food and drinks are over priced.
Great burgers especially with limited time between working. A little pricy, but it's what I expected in San Diego. The bartender mixed great drinks based on what my dinner companions commented.
This was one of our favorite food pit stops in San Diego! The view of the bay is gorgeous and the parking is super easy. We couldn't get enough of their battered fries and specialty cocktails. Would visit again!
Rarely does a resort restaurant deliver such a relaxed, wonderful experience while on vacation, but our visit(s) to the Barefoot were exceptional. Our first dinner was on Valentine’s Day (my birthday). The day was spent hiking, driving, running around, so by the end of the day, all we wanted was a low-key evening and delicious meal. We did not feel like venturing out anymore, so we put our faith in the Barefoot for a cozy, memorable birthday/Valentine experience. When you walk into a new place, it is important to have a good first impression. We were greeted and made to feel like we were welcome, and the entire staff seems like they enjoy being there and appreciate their guests. Our server Vanessa was awesome, and upon learning it was my birthday, added a candle to my delicious cheesecake. I was so moved, I really didn’t think I was going to get a birthday candle this year. I mean, you have to make a wish on your birthday. She was simply amazing and made the occasion one we will always remember fondly. We even went back the next day and it was just as good (minus the birthday candle of course). The manager even came to our table to ask how we were doing. How awesome is that? Please pass on my sentiments to Vanessa and the entire team. Not only will we back to Paradise Point, we will be back to the Barefoot, and I have already told my friends and coworkers who often travel to San Diego they have to go there! In fact, I wish I could go there tonight, but I’m not on vacation anymore. ?
Restaurant within the resort. We ate breakfast here three times and dinner once. Food was always great and service was top notch. Fell in love with their Açaí bowl and the salmon was cooked perfectly and the location is nice too.Prices seem a bit high to include the add on’s to support various overhead costs that they make you aware of as they are passing it onto the customer (The higher minimum wage increase so there is a percentage added onto each bill) . The additional costs are only reason it doesn’t get a 5.
Beautiful view of mission bay while you dine in this restaurant hidden in the Paradise cove resort. Free parking too. I had their pork tacos, which they give you 3 huge tacos full of pork and fixings. You can't go wrong ordering them. I added some fries because I like a side to munch on whether that is chips or fries. The fries were great as well with that extra coating to make them crispy. It was very peaceful to sit by the water, watch the boats. There is shaded seating as well as seating in the sun. Sit wherever you'd like. I felt I found a hidden secret restaurant that I hadn't seen anyone talk about. Follow me for more reviews in California, Washington, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona Colorado and more!
It’s nice to dock your boat and the food and drinks are very good we eat there often. Last two time were not good. First time the hostess yelled at a couple for sitting at a large table. Very inappropriate. Second time we went for lunch as a party of five. The hostess told us we had to wait. It wasn’t a problem. We told her we would wait at the bar. We ordered around of drinks the bartender was grumpy and rude. We waited 30 minutes for a table and notice the hostess taking 6 people to a table. We asked why because we were waiting. In rude fashion the hostess stated we were not waiting by her podium “to bad” and walked away. What a shame we left immediately.
This place is insane, very very good view, it is just right tgere at the beach, i mean it is a resrt place. I love the wings, the poke chips and the salad, this place is insane when it comes with the place, very very fresh air right in your table,
