?? phenomenal meat pies. It had been a while since I’d had a savory pie and having grown up in Ireland and South Africa I do love a good pie. The lamb and beef pies here are the best pies I’ve had in a long time. The pastry was flaky on top and chewy on the bottom and the meat inside was very well cooked and seasoned. I’ll also mention the chips (fries) as a standout here too. Often fries are overlooked at places and just thrown onto the plate to take up space and be a filler (like the place I went yesterday, the contrast between the two is why I’m making this point). Here you can tell care goes into the chips, they are thick, chunky, and seasoned with a nice salty almost sweet seasoning. The chips were so nice on their own I didn’t need to use the sauce but oh boy when I did use the tomato sauce, the combo with the seasoning was great! It also wasn’t typical tomato sauce I think they customize it too. So hats off on the chips here! (and the pies too of course but I was expecting these to be good). I also got the mag pie for dessert and this was good but it didn’t live up to my expectations and I didn’t think it was the same standard as the rest of the meal. I think some of the ice cream was still a bit frozen inside. That being said this place gets 5/5 for the lethal pies and fries combo, great, tasty, comfort food!Had to update my review to say that the chicken pot pie was even better! The sauce was thick and creamy, the pastry soft and chewy, and the biscuits fresh and toasted. It was light on the chicken but probably still the best tasting pie I’ve had.
This place is conveniently located and fairly easy to get to. Parking can be a little challenging but not a huge issue. We stopped here right after getting into town. The service was great, the people are friendly and the food and beer selection was good. They do have a kids menu which is a huge plus. Fast and friendly service and quality eats at a decent price.
Probably the best burger I've had at a restaurant! I prefer my burgers well done and not many restaurants can manage a great burger that is well done - Bare Back nailed it! I had the Kiwilango and the beef was perfect with an incredibly flavourful collection of toppings. Great service and even though it was busy when we were there, the food came out promptly. A great find!

Great weekend brunch! Went Sunday, got seated outdoors for a larger party (10 people) in less than 10 minutes. Start with some $4 dollar mimosas (or buy a bottle for $20). The pretzel appetizer was good but the fried chicken tenders were amazing. For the main course I went with the aptly named The Cure - certainly helped me fight off the Sunday Scaries. Would definitely come back for a solid brunch in PB!
food is so very delicious and the staff are the sweetest, i am pregnant and i wanted a virgin margarita and they made it happen, it was just like the real stuff but without the alcohol. they made it perfect with a citrus kick to it and it was amazing. will be coming back for that drink and sliders again! : )
The fish and chips and burgers were really good. The waitress was attentive and served well. Good food, good service, great location.
We came here for happy hour on a Friday. Great specials. $7 apps. $8 craft cocktails. They’ve done a really great job on setting up the outside eating area. Very cool spot with great food and drinks. Recommend the Mai Tai ??

This is a really cute spot in Pacific beach, walking distance to the beach but no ocean view. I ate the Guaco loco burger with the impossible patty. Definitely not the flavor I expected, as it was very very sweet and not something I liked. My boyfriend ate a salad with shrimp, which was by far one of the best fruit salads we've had in San Diego. Overall it was good, I would come here again and try something different.
