Everything was spectacularly delicious. Bandar is a gem.

We always enjoy ourselves here. The food and the service is great. My husband loves their house special chicken, but tried the beef last night and said it was excellent. I tend to gravitate towards their lamb dishes. Had the eggplant stew. Really good. Can’t wait to go back. Only a few blocks from the Civic Theater, so good choice pre-theater.

The service was good, the food was excellent and the portions LARGE! We could have fed four people with the one meal we shared. We ordered their famous Adas Polo: rice with raisins, lentils, dates, & saffron, with moist charbroiled chicken tenderloin. An excellent place to go for dinner before a Broadway show at the Civic Theatre.

Hands down the best Mediterranean/Persian food in San Diego. Huge portions and delicious. Family owned and always get great service

It was fantastic

The food ranged from okay to terrible. The hummus was lacking brightness, the cucumber dip and feta and olives were fine, and the eggplant dip was good. However, the vegetarian stew trio was inedible. The pomegranate stew was grainy and way too sweet. The red bean stew was awful and had little flavor. The eggplant stew was passable, but not good. We sent it back and the owner came out and told us that “we just don’t understand Persian food and we should just read their reviews bc they are wonderful.” She was actually raising her voice. I have eaten the same dishes from other Persian chefs and the issue is not our palate…it is the terrible flavor of her stews. The behavior of the owner confirmed the terrible experience. I will never return.

Fantastic service and delicious food before a concert at Balboa Theater. I will come again for the amazing chicken. Melt in your mouth heavenly.

Most in our party ordered the "world famous chicken" and I ordered the salmon. They were all very dry. The salmon was over-cooked for sure. I requested Tzatsiki sauce to ease the dryness and was charged more than $10 for it (not kidding). The restaurant was very muggy inside. We were all hot. Bottom line, the food was just okay. I don't think I'll return. Too many other good restaurants in the area.

Delicious, authentic and high quality Persian food. The best in San Diego!

Beautiful restaurant! Good Persian food. Very loud inside as we could hardly hear the waiter, let alone each other, talk.
