Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere with tons of seating. Tremendous beers with exceptional flavour (yes, I’m Canadian?) the variety is really quite good. I really liked the barrel aged beer I got - very rich and delicious.Didn’t get any food but it looked good for sure. Planes flying overhead are cool as well.Stopped by a second time the next day since they had so many beers to try! Ordered the pretzel bites and they were delicious. The beer cheese sauce was so good!
We enjoyed a great going away happy hour at Ballast Point. Great facilities, brews and fare. My Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich was very good as was their Russian Imperial Stout.
Great brewery! Have had Ballast Point on tap and in cans around CA but got to visit the brewery in SD on a wonderful Monday (vacation day) pub crawl. This was our second stop so we had a flight and the pretzel bites---Get the Pretzel bites! So good! Enjoyed all the beers we tried-2 hazys and 2 ales. Can't wait to try more of their beers and visit again anytime we are in SD. Cheers! Loved the patio and merch shop too.
I had a fantastic time. The burger and fries were good but the real highlight was the flight of beers I got. They were each unique, tasty, and nice.

Ballast Point is a good brewey. The beer is fine, the atmosphere is fine. However, you can likely find as good or better beer around town. Again, it's worth a stop but it's the environment and not the taste that'll keep you there. Keep in mind you'll hear a plane about every twenty minutes right above you.
All I can say is this place was phenomenal! I totally loved my Al Pastor chicken burger and the yummy fries and the aioli dipping sauce was the bomb. The lemonade was refreshing. Nice bar and a lot of great seating inside and out. Music was good, not too loud or low. Perfect amount of flat screens for watching winter Olympics. Go USA! Very much so looking forward to going back.
