Quality of fish 12/10. Service 12/10. Drinks were very good. However, their omakase is more of a sashimi of the day platter. You get all your fish at once (albeit the presentation is creative), as opposed to the traditional piece by piece. I was a little disappointed by this but the fish was still great, so I can’t complain too much.

Amazing sushi restaurant in downtown San Diego! I went here to celebrate my best friends birthday and we just happened to find it near our Airbnb, get a parking spot close by, and be seated within 30 minutes!We sat upstairs and it was quite noisy, so I asked our waiter if we can be moved to a different spot and he accommodated us!Excellent food and service. Everyone knew the menu very well and were very knowledgeable on sushi. I have some shellfish allergies and I was guided on what to order to accommodate.Great experience!
Sushi & cocktails are very tasty?? The fish is so fresh, it melts in your mouth ? ?We ordered the stardust roll, rainbow roll, and hamachi toro sushi. It came out so fast and was the best sushi I’ve had in San Diego. My mezcal cocktail was so refreshing and tasty. Everything on the menu has a lot of flavor. Service along with the food quality is excellent. Highly recommended this experience!
we loved the by the border roll, the salmon nigiri, the otoro and chutoro. we also enjoyed the mezcal and cucumber drink, very refreshing! definitely planning to go back on our next visit to San Diego
I one hundred percent love this place! We came here for a Saturday dinner and of course it’s better to make a reservation beforehand. The foods here are amazing, we ordered a bunch of different things. My favorites are Uni Nigiri, sardine nigiri, lobster rolls, pon hama, and crispy rice & spicy tuna. All the fishes are beautifully cut and super fresh. The sushi roll flavor is very well balanced with a unique taste. Here’s service is nice too. I highly recommend you come here to check out if you love Japanese food.
Waiter was super accommodating when we wanted to change tables due to noise. Great old fashioned with Japanese whiskey. Everything was delicious.
Amazing food, great service (thank you Kevin!) . All the dishes we had were so good and recommendation were great. This place is a must if you like Sushi.
I would rate this restaurant as 5+ star. Normally, if the food is tasty and the service is good, I’ll rate 5 star. However, this place has another amazing thing: the gods serving speed is super fast! Normally for sushi place, especially for expensive one, the serving speed would be slow. But this restaurant successfully delivered an impossible triangle: great taste, great service, great speed!
Excellent service. Drinks are great, chefs choice nigiri was perfect. Shrimp fried rice was insanely good. And the fried leeks on the “r u kidding me” we’re to die for. Super fresh fish
