Left a five star review in 2019, would leave a SIX star review now if I could. Atypical has been so consistent in delivering deliciousness — the fresh + light waffle is my favorite weekend treat. Love seeing these waffle geniuses thrive!!
I had chicken bites with waffles and it was absolutely tasty. The lemonade was also delicious. All around the service and food were good.
Always walk by here yet had no idea it was such a vibe inside. I had the fresh and light waffle and it was such a treat! Made to order by a very friendly staff - this waffle was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. You can tell they pay so much attention to the detail in making these fine treats. I love it. Great staff... delicious real Belgian waffles. If you are in a hurry or absolutely starving it is a wait but well worth it. Very casual. Funky art and skateboards made into chairs. Kid and dog friendly. Best of North Park. Feels great to support small buisness. Everyone Ive taken there loves it.
100% YES to this place! I ordered the veggie melt waffle and it was by far the best waffle I've ever had in my life. I love savory breakfasts, so this was right up my alley. Walking up to this place, it was very unassuming, and I thought we were walking into the laundromat, but it's tucked away behind everything and super quaint. Definitely will be back. :)
Delicious...the bacon avocado was amazing. I will be back to try them all. Very nice servers. Sat out on the back patio area. Enjoyed the ability to bring my dog and interact with people and their dogs. Great atmosphere. See you soon
These are the BEST waffles I’ve ever had. We got the avocado toast and the pumpkin butter both were specials but they were AMAZING!!!! Our super picky eater kids loved the plain waffles. And the vanilla chai latte was phenomenal! Everyone was kind and friendly. If you like waffles or even if you don’t you will fall in love with this place after one bite.
This is one of the first places I visited when I moved here three years ago from the east coast. And it's probably the only place I'll miss when I move in a few months. Everyone is always friendly, and the food is always phenomenal. Super pet friendly. Wish I could take it all with me ?
bummer. drove 2 hours to try the infamous #7 only to be told the locations wasn’t making any menu items due to a critical staff member being sick. nothing posted on their social media either!however, they will give you a free waffle w powdered sugar since you “showed up”.stars for effort but I didn’t take the waffle as I was bummed.also- spot is REALLY hidden in an alley.
This rating is because it really deserves the 5 stars but also to balance out their recent rating today from someone saying they were closed and nothing was posted on their social media. I follow them on Instagram and they have posted multiple times, on different days. They don’t deserve a lower rating just because she can’t read… anyway, hopefully she goes back and tries #7!
