Absolutely wonderful bakery & extremely pleasant and professional staff. I've been a customer for over 10 years, but MIA for 5+. My favorite memory is being stuffed in the corner near the window having the most delish blue cheese & spinach omelette ever! Fast forward the staff is still multitasking from outdoor eating to inside bistro, the restaurant has expanded for lunch to now dinner and there is wine!!!! No need to bore you with details of the tarts, mouse cups & macaroons. The customers vary in dietary restrictions but we all receive delightful personalized attention! I would give 10 stars ? if I could, so excited for your expansion!6
If you're a Clairemont local and you haven't gone here for amazing pastries and coffee, you're missing out. This is the place to get baked goods for the whole family, office, or any party. Love their fresh everything: breads, pastries, and sandwiches. Highly recommend and worth every penny.
Love this place. Great breakfast, great pastries and coffee to go! Great staff! A must visit place. I am an ex pastry Chef and I love that the Arley products are not over sweetend. Just like I use to make!
Palmier/Elephant Ear/Ventaglio was the best I have had in San Diego in 15 years; fresh, crunchy, and you can taste the butter, not ugly margarine.The Danish with custard was glazed with apricot jam, great touch.Opera cake was good too.I have a patisserie diploma and I am very picky about desserts.I will definitely go back to try different pastries.My visit was on a Saturday morning, which it might make a difference.
Hi,I went there today, waiting in line for a while ,a teenager employee helped me,I ask her"do you have a baguette that you made today",she answered back through a mask,I understand that she has 2 left,okay I buy one she put it in the bag and I left.On my way to my truck I just felt the bread with my fingers....hard as concrete..is this how I get my money respected??? I went back and try to ask,same thing talking through the mask, this employee, I left the bread on the table and went away...I will never treat my costumers like that. This establishment is a fraud.

I love Arley's cafe. It's a popular Clairemont neighborhood hotspot in the square, and the food tastes authentically French. It's a great place to stop for coffee, breakfast, lunch, or pickup a custom bakery order like a cake or pastries.
Marvelous french pastries. It's always busy and you almost can't be in a hurry as they always seemed swamped!
From the outside it looks like a welcoming, charming french cafe. Once inside, you notice that service differs depending on your looks. You order a coffee to drink inside, and it is offered to you in a ceramic mug, with free refills. Someone else orders the same thing, a coffee to drink inside, and it is offered in a paper cup, have to choose a size, and no refills. Same with specialty coffees and pastries. It is bluntly obvious and not pleasant. I question the integrity of the employees that go along with that. Do not recommend. Not going back.
