Cool little shop in Old Town with a wide selection of teas and spices. They do offer limited coffee options. You can smell this place from outside and very aromatic.Pretty cool shop.
I loved this place. It is a tea lovers heaven! I got two teas when I stopped here. There are so many options and I wish I had more space for tea in my house. They were super nice. Also there are ingredient lists on the back of the containers. I just like looking at them bc I already kind of know what I will and won't like in tea.
We discovered them about four years ago on a quick trip from Alaska. Been ordering regularly ever since. We've had teas from Singapore and Thailand but even those don't compare. I adore Chris and his staff for their outstanding customer service and quick response to any questions. We'll be leaving overseas at the end of the year and I plan on ordering A LOT of our favorites to take with us.
I wish I could give them 0 stars.I was very excited to check this place out as I am a Tea enthusiast. Get there and they won’t let you touch nor smell the variety teas available (most tea shops around the country do, but hey this is California). Next they don’t even sell a cup of tea like most shops around the country. And to top if off the young worker was extremely rude to my family and I. Terrible experience overall and do not recommend going.
Meet one of the owners at a charity event, so voting mostly for that reason, but also because their coffee is really good. They also surprisingly have good sandwiches. For some reason, there aren't enough good sandwich spots in San Diego, CA. The food here is good.
Obviously, their coffee is absolutely wonderful. Also haf a croque madame, which was moderate. It was my first time and the San Diego, CA location, and the public parking structure right across from the cafe was definitely a plus. It is very difficult to find street parking around here, so don't hesitate and just park at the public parking structure (1st 90 min free!!). Inside of the cafe was very crowded as this is a popular coffee shop, but there were still plenty of places to seat with quick turnaround.
OMG....their Nutty Doodle is like none otherWe travel all over and found this as the house coffee at one of our favorite restaurants in the harbor in Oceanside. We finally ordered from American House. ..6..because we got a deal that way. But its not overpriced and there is NOWHERE we could find it but the company itself. Lots of nutty coffes out there...lots of cinnamonny coffees out there.....but nothing like this brew. When I first had it at the restaurant I was going to put my regular touch of sweetner and cream . But then my husband said to smell it first. It really is that good. No sugar or cream.....it would ruin it. First coffee and only coffee I drink without the extras. Same for hubby. Its exquisite.
Amazing place. The atmosphere and employees are wonderful, and their Highlander Grogg and Coconut Chai Tea are my absolute favorites. Highly recommended!
Super sweet staff. Always smells amazing really cool place to buy coffee teas herbs spices. A little small inside but a smallness you can appreciate.
They had EVERY TYPE OF TEA. Amazing selections it was insane! As a massive Tea lover i can promise this place delivers what it says and more.
