Probably one of the best red snapper dinner plates I’ve ever had. 10/10 recommend. Family friendly environment and the staff is awesome.
I ordered a carne asada quesadilla and the flavor was amazing!! It was so hard to choose what to get on the menu because all of it sounded amazing!! So I’m definitely going back to try what I didn’t get! Also staff was very helpful and very friendly. I’m a picky person and I know it haha, so when I said no guacamole because I’m weird, I told him that and he said dude your weird if your not weird. I will definitely remember this place!!! 10/10
Increíble!!!! The food is amazing here!!! We ordered the shrimp ? bowl and chicken tacos ? and they were muy delicioso!!! ? The service was a 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - very knowledgeable and could tell they truly cared about serving you the best. Thank you and can’t wait to come back!!!
We turned our heads and there it was! such a great experience! My entire family of 6 were able to eat and be happy! The red snapper was delicious, the half chicken was the best I’ve ever had! A definite stop when in San Clemente!!
TOP RESTAURANT in ave pico san clemente area. The chicken here is unbeatable so far. No lathering of bbq sauce or obnoxious flavors. Straight fire chicken bathed in garlic and lime, along with the jalapeno sauce or Chile de arbol, if your in time get the posole, if your a salad person get a bowl, with the shrimp, so many delicious options, definitely a MUST STOP at san Clemente. The owners Joan and Karen take pride in there small restaurant and its noticeable. Great job surfin chicken.
The best OG char grilled chicken in OC! This has been a favorite of mine for decades. Its a family business and now it has passed on to the next generation!Enjoy your retirement Jose!The chicken still has all the same rich flavors of the past but more juicer inside. Love it!El Pollo Loco will taste pre-made and fast food like after you've tried here.Its very much the hole in the wall place...with great food and rich hostory.
If you haven't been here yet I highly recommend it! I had the Surfin Chicken burrito and it is by far one of the best burritos I have ever had! It comes with chips and some delicious home made salsa with just the right amount of kick! The owners Juan and Karen are warm and friendly too! Its like you are eating in their home kitchen. I cant wait to go back for a half or whole chicken dinner or maybe even try the red snapper. Thanks Surfin Chicken, see you soon!
Food and service were exceptional! I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos and was not disappointed. The mango salsa and Chipotle sauce were perfect. The fish was cooked great with lots of flavor and plenty of fish per taco! My husband ordered the red snapper burrito and it was also fantastic, I had to get a bite! The fish was packed into it, it was even falling out! Seasoned perfectly and still tender and flaky. Will definitely go back when in the area!

Everything here is delicious and reasonably priced. I first got the red snapper plate which was so good that I went back on the same day to try the chicken. Personally I prefer the snapper which was so flavorful and went well with the rice and beans. The staff is super friendly too!
