Place is tiny. Food was good. (traditional American breakfast) SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. It was a bit pricey but hey, it's California.
This is very nice local family owned restaurant. Excellent for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The owner and staff is very friendly. Anyone living in or visiting San Clemente should visit the place, support our local business.
Best breakfast in San Clemente, get the C-Dragon with French toast, try a gyro for lunch and always get a giant cinnamon roll! George is a great cook, Rose provides excellent service

We stopped here for breakfast. And the service was great and the Grecian omelette was good. And the cinnamon rolls were good.
I have breakfast at the Sugar Shack at least once a week. I wish they're stuffed French toast was it little fluffier on the inside. That being said everything is quite tasty. One of the few places in town to get real breakfast. Also the accept EBT if you are looking for a meal cooked by someone else.
Am a local here in SC and decided to treat myself to breakfast at the sugar shack. Staff are lovely! I ordered Huevos rancheros for $13.95 and quite frankly what arrived in my plate was shocking. Two over easy eggs with a small ladle of sauce and hash brown with a lettuce leaf and a twist of orange slice. Corn tortillas on the side . Absolutely no creativity here, totally bland and a total rip off of my hard earned money. It’s sad that a business would present something like this to a customer and expect them to eat pay and say nothing. Never again!
Awesome cute place, only 6 tables an very small, cinnamon roll was amazing but food was ok, but the prices where outrageous $22 for a omelet!!! Came out to $65 for two people!!! Much better options around. Not to mention $6 for a glass of OJ!
Everything is great, staff, food, rolls... just go ??? A+
There is a beautiful tree across the street with red blooms providing shade for a flower shop.
