I was in town for the week and wanted to find a cozy sit-down pizza and pasta place. Ended up with a new favorite restaurant!Hands-down the best margherita pizza I have ever had. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the atmosphere was so comfortable, nostalgic, and welcoming. If I’m ever in town again, Sonny’s will be a must-stop.

Gave this place a try last night and I must say the food definitely tastes authentic here. I ordered the chicken parm plate and it was out of this world !! I loved the flavor of everything I usually go other places and have to add salt but not this place. Everything was seasoned to perfection!! All the staff is so nice and accommodating as well , we had a really nice waitress which now I wish I had her name so I can add but overall everyone that works there is customer friendly oriented from the host to the bus boy , all very good staff. Thanks again and I will def be back soon !!!
WOW this was our 1st time trying this spot and we will definitely be back. From the moment we walked in everyone was super nice. The pasta was so good and plenty to share. The pizza was a thin crunchy crust with lots of toppings.We will most definitely be back here again.
Sonny’s is the best and most delicious place to eat in San Clemente. Great location, great staff, great menu!
The food here is really good Italian food. Amazing cheese and garlic bread. There marinara sauce was one of the best I have had. I loved the Lobster Ravioli with white sauce I ordered but you can request other sauces. The staff is extremely friendly. I tipped 30% because I liked the service.
Service was slow very few patrons. Two customers to a table. six customers all together in the restaurant. Three waitresses, 1 backup who delivered the food to the table, refilled drinks and took care of the patron and cleared the table dirty dishes. He was on top of it great job. The backup also brought out the containers filled them with the leftovers, to take home. Also brought the bill out and took it back to the cashier. What is going on with these waitresses. Did they have to cook? Did they have to do dishes? Whenever
Best pizza in San Clemente. I would have given 5 stars but the hostess was rude and smug for no reason at all. We wanted to sit down and spend some money there on some nice wine but we decided after her being so rude to take the pizza to go and not dine in.
Absolutely delicious! My first time going there and I loved it. Great food and vegetarian choices, wonderful ambiance, and lovely staff. I can't wait to go back.Does get crowded quickly, good thing we got there before noon. By the time we left, no seats left.
Spaghetti special every Monday and lasagna special every Wednesday. Nice atmosphere and very attentive service.
The food is always spectacular! Staff is very friendly and attentive! The red sauce is to die for ? We will come back again and again!
