Tried out the deli today and was happy with it! I have lived in San Francisco and Los Angeles and know good Italian delis! This one is solid! I had the ravioli, cannoli and salad all were flavorful and fresh. The market has some good Italian items too! I wish they sold more cheese though

Attention Attention San Clemente!!! We have a new Italian Deli that has opened on Del Mar. I have traveled to Roma, Florence, Genoia and all over the Tuscany valley. Here at Pronto's you will find the tastes, aromas, a nice atmosphere with wonderful owners serving the best of authentic Italian meals in Southern California. I have been going in slowly trying; well, everything. They have wonderful pizzas (crunchy crusts), delicious sandwiches, and the desserts are so good, very authentic. You can grab a bite to go or sit inside or out. The pricing is more than reasonable from the pizza's to the two sizes of cannoli's. Really, what else can I say except try it!

EDIT AFTER REPLY: I can understand if Aperol requires a different license, 5 star now!Friendly cute Italian place with a good happy hour. We didn't have food but it looked good and we were tempted to come back for it.I have knocked a star off because they didn't do Aperol Spritz and this is supposed to be an Italian place!!

Very bad experience with this place and the manager. I have never written a review in my life but felt compelled to this one. Would not recommend. I went in here thinking wonder if this is any relation to Tina and Vinces the Italian Deli that was in here previously. After trying 3 of their dishes it was apparent that Pronto was of no relation. very sub par Italian food with expensive prices. Unlike Tina and Vinces the prior establishment that i loved. And while we were sitting down in the front two eat two of our friends walked by and stopped to chat. the manager came out and told them they could not sit with us unless they were customers even though the place was completely empty. we payed and left. but that is not the end of our bad experience. We went on a walk up del mar to get a coffee from J'Adore (great coffee and super friendly). After walking back down to car parked in front of Pronto 20 minutes later I decided to walk in and use Pronto's restroom. The same manager told me I must be a customer to use the bathroom. I told him That I was 20 minutes ago. He said I must be a current customer. would give zero stars if i could. Bad but expensive food and unreasonable staff.

This place is awesome. Had a great sandwich and pelligrino. Sat outside as people strolled by. Great staff and chefs. Real Italian heritage. For a casual place, they were kind to check on me up and made sure everything was all right. A return visit soon is on my mind.

Better lobster ravioli than sonnys, and the best short rib ravioli I have ever had. Everything hand made (pastas, etc). The owner and chef is Italian, super legit. Loved the pizza, reminded me of the pizza in Italy! Highest recommendation.

Authentic, delicious food with superb service. It's totally legit Italian - the owner and customers were speaking in Italian. A customer even drove up in a Vespa. I forgot for a moment where we were.Everything was great. We enjoyed the prosciutto and arugula pizza, the sandwiches, rosemary focaccia, and the broccoli & farro. The computer system accidentally canceled the pizza, but they totally made up for it with excellent service.

Hopefully this was just a bad night for them because that was one of worst pizza’s I have ever eaten. The crust was tough, tasteless, very little sauce and the ingredients slid off as though the crust was made before hand. Very surprised. Good luck surviving. San Clemente is a small town. We will not be back

The best lobster ravioli ever! I have been to Italy ?? and this is as good as it gets! The pizza is excellent and the rosemary of focaccia bread is out if this world and get the gelato ? I would post pics, but I ate it all ?

Wonderful authentic and family run restaurant. Every menu item we've tried has been great. The prosciutto and arugula pizza was especially good. We also enjoy their Italian pastries. Pronto is a favorite in San Clemente — really nice family.
