Truly a bedrock establishment. No frills authentic Mexican food. The burritos should be called Dos Manos because it literally takes Two hands to hold it! Their salsa is the bomb! Just be prepared to pay with plastic because they don’t accept cash.
Ped’s! It’s a classic staple of SoCal surfer mexican eats in San Clemente. You just gotta know what to order: the best in the house are the ROLLED TACOS, BEAN/CHESSE BURRITO, & POTATO TACOS!!! Fried chicken quesadilla also gets a shoutout. Get the jalapeño hot sauce. Horchata is also delish
Food was great. Had the Carne Asada burrito. Would have liked to enjoy there, but No public restroom. Probably assume the building too small to have customer restrooms.
I think it's hilarious they have "famous fish tacos" on their building. I can't possibly imagine what they're famous for! Other than complete & utter mediocrity perhaps?? First of all their menu says next to their quesadillas "fried or grilled" which I've never seen so I ask for a steak quesadilla fried & I just get a short blunt "NO"..... no explanation. So immediately I'm a little put off. I end up just going for 1 "famous" fish taco..... there was absolutely nothing special about it. The sauce was a regular ol' tartar sauce, the fish was barely crispy & lacking flavor & the hot sauce wasn't even house made! I didn't even get a lime wedge to help this sad little thing. But don't worry, I got 2 packets of gas station hot sauce to dress it up Lol What a disappointment. Save your $5 n' change and go somewhere else. Anywhere else
I wouldn't even give it one star. This is the worst Mexican food i have ever had. I ate here several years ago and liked it. Just visited again, took one bite of the chicken taco and threw it away. The potato taco was nothing really. The salsa looked and tasted as though it had been out in the sun for several days, and then refrigerated. It was so gone. Rice and beans are all I could eat. Awful.
My favorite taco place. Their fish tacos and shrimp tacos are phenomenal.
I dont think they understand english , ordered a simple order gave me a totally wrong order. I let it slide then come again I order again. This time the buritto was taco size and the salsa tastes like shitt. If you want good Pedros Go to the one up north just 1 more mile. The salsa is the same old good one . Not the shittty new one mixed with weak asss sauce.
PEDRO'S IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST IN SAN CLEMENTE...hands down! Size, flavor, value... Pedro's has the best of every category! If you enjoy seafood you must experience the Trestles burrito! When I'm down in Sanny Clem I sometimes go twice!
Finally pulled over just to try.........It's was eeeh. For being the world's best tacos, we should not have to put packaged hot sauce on it!! Sorry!! Got a ? taco and fried chicken taco. Edible but that's it!! Having tried AZ , Mexico and every kind of ? taco from So Cal to San Francisco... 2 stars will do!! Sorry!! Blue Water... See you tomorrow??!!! ?????
I had the fish taco. It was good and I got my food in a timely manner. The amount of fish in the taco (in my opinion) could have been increased for the price, but it was still good.
