The food was delicious and comparable to Evvia in Palo Alto. Atmosphere is different, but the food was amazing. Nice outdoor eating area as well.

Pylos is a good Mediterranean restaurant. To start they bring you some delicious pita bread with a tomato spread. Their zucchini cakes with cucumber mint sauce and Greek lemon soup is a great way to begin your dinner. My two companions enjoyed fish and lamb shank. There is a full bar with interesting cocktails and an outdoor area that is very nice. If you like Mediterranean food, Pylos is the place to go in San Carlos.
Outdoor seating. Weather was warm. A little bit windy but comfortable. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Would definitely go back.
Perfect visit all in all except for it was a hot day; inside and outside dining were both warm, no AC. But the Service & Santorini wine & food we had are all great. Had 3 dips, octopus with greens, whole sea-bass & Moussaka all these were excellent! Will come back to try different dish.
We went for lunch and chose to sit outside under the canopy. The salad used very fresh ingredients like they do in Greece. The manager made us an appetizer sampler though it is normally only available for dinner. The entrées were also very nice and we had an excellent experience overall. I tried their Greek iced coffee but it was not sweet. Others in our group ordered the Turkish coffee which was good.

Excellent Greek/ Turkish food. Nice ambiance , very friendly staff. comfortable outdoor seating. The Beyti is fantastic- huge portions.
We had all appetizers and shared for our meal. 2 dips and 2 hot appetizers. Plus wine, of course! Everything we ordered we would order again. It was delicious. I can't say enough good things about our waiter. J.J. made us feel like we were back in Greece and enjoying an outside meal at a local restaurant. The only thing missing was a view. But the outside seating was very comfortable.
