I am forever a fan of patxi's deep dish pizza but the lunchtime service is lacking. We waited over an hour for a deep dish pizza. Don't get me wrong it was delicious but workday lunches should not take that long!
Two of the four items ordered did not arrive so I call.Whomever answers the phone is so unconcerned I’m speechless.“are you still there?”Ah yes well are you going to have somebody deliver the items that were missing?The driver has them. Call the driver.OK yeah we can’t call the driver we don’t have his number.Use the app.Ah yeah there’s no way to contact them anymore on the app.OK well that’s not our problem the driver picked up your items and they’re not here.The deep dish was weird. The crust was splitting. It was undercooked and mostly crust hardly any cheese. It was only made better by the fact that I put some pepperoni on it I had in the fridge and reheated it. The artichoke dip was dark and funky looking like it had been sitting out and oxidized. I’d tell you how the salad and wings were that were supposed to be but alas they never arrived.A total disappointment.
First ones to sit, only a couple sitting eating and ordered. Waited over 54 minutes to get the first pizza of two orders. Cold and tasted like a cold cracker with tomato sauce. Meanwhile it's getting packed. I asked to heat reheat it to be nice, but waitress said ILL TELL THE MANAGER! Great now I feel they will spit in my pizza. We did get a new one after 10 mins, but now we are still waiting for our second pizza. It's now 1 hour and 5 minutes. Meanwhile our waiterest has not return and we have no water, soda and beer....oh well..like this pizza but will go to another one instead
Super tasty and huuuge ! We had the thick ones 10” and one would have been enough for two people. We had the Spinach/Pesto and the Greek one.
First they put us on a wait list, and said about 20 minutes. We waited in the cold way more than 20 minutes, only to be rudely told they were not taking anymore tables. They never once even communicated or let us know prior to waiting all that time. This was a horrible first impression! Never returning. If I was able to select 0 stars I definitely would. Was quite disappointed at the inconsistency between two Patxi branches. I was very excited to share my great experience at the SF (24th st) Patxis’s with my family but that didn’t go too well.
Great location and warm place, good selection of beers and pizza.
We started off with the Mixed Green Salad and Artichoke dip. For entrees we had the Tre Porcellini and Classic Supreme with thin crust. For desert it was the Brownie sundae and Giant Cheescake. Everything was delicious. Our server Gwen was awesome. The rest of the staff were polite and professional. We will come back to eat here when we are in San Carlos again.
I don't know what happened - did they change the recipe? The deep dish today was watery and flat, and not gooey at all.
Im from outa town. My gf reccomended the place. I dont know. I asked for a thin crust.. My pizza was TERRIBLE!. I mean yuk! And i got to pay $40 for it.!!I couldnt finish it. Very tough and hard to chew. But maybe it was just one of those flukes. Ill give them another chance next time im around.
