Our party of five enjoyed a wonderful dinner outside at 888 last night! We had an assortment of pasta dishes and prawns - all were delicious and the cheesecake for dessert had us scraping our plates - it was so good!
888 ristorante is a gem. Absolutely amazing food from carpaccio, artichoke soup, wonderfully delicious pansotti in brown butter sage sauce that melts in your mouth and the fettuccine with truffle sauce that is perfectly balanced with wonderful aroma and taste. Service was personable and excellent â food even better. Will keep coming to this small but mighty ristorante â best in San Carlos

First time at 888 and I was very impressed. They had a good wine list, and a lot of yummy stuff on the menu so that we will have to go back soon and try the things we did not have this time. Difficult to decide what to have, but I ate the Rigatoni bolonaise and it was excellent- and enough for two to have noshed happily on it. I brought the rest home. My friend had the lasagna and he said it was the best he had ever had out. The appetizer we had was terrific- the breaded calamari was light and tasty. We will definitely be back.
The food is some of the best, Cenzo Maddalena is the owner - operator of a great Italian restaurant. From the Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamic vinegar for your Italian bread, to the great pastas, and tempting desserts, a real treat!

First time dinning at this restaurant. We could not be any more impressed with the food. We had a number of fish dishes, and the fish was tender and cooked to perfection. The owner was very busy waiting tables and making sure everything was just right. Great experience.
Delicious pasta dishes. I had homemade fettuccine with white truffles. Other people in my party had seafood fettuccine, chicken linguini and eggplant parmesan. Server was a bit stoic, but the gentleman who seated us was super friendly.
