Came here twice and was essentially told to leave. It's almost as if they don't want your business. We were either told it'll be a long wait or they are totally booked. Each time, the restaurant was barely full. I'm sure it was because they weren't sufficiently staffed but how can a business sustain if you keep turning away customers. I would show up during the "non busy" hours and still get turned away. I called their bluff once and they told me they wouldn't advise me to stay because they can't guarantee me a table, would you believe that?If I do get lucky and get a table, service isn't too bad. There's always a few that are always hustling and some that are just standing around checking their phones or chatting away. Heck, BJ's seemed better during the height of COVID. Unfortunately, you won't finding me back here unless my kids are begging for it.

One of the worst dining experiences ever. I arrived at the door at 4:30 p.m. I stood at the hostess stand for several minutes after watching a waitress walk through the bar area and not even acknowledge me or send anyone to acknowledge/greet me. After 10-12 minutes a waitress finally approached and said I could find a seat at the bar. I then sat there for over 10 minutes before I flagged down a waitress. She then said she wasn't my waitress but she could take my order. She takes my order and delivers the worst $5.00 Happy Hour margarita. I order the cheese sticks. The cheese sticks tasted like they were frozen and warmed up in a microwave or baked in a toaster oven. Then I order the scrimp scampi after waiting another 10 minutes for the appetizer. The scrimp scampi arrives lukewarm. Instead of angel hair pasta it was made with spaghetti pasta. The sauce was brown and even the waitress said, "yea the sauce shouldn't be brown ... the food sucks here and I would go to Jack's restaurant across the street."

we walked over for dinner from our hotel. It was a 40 minute wait to get seated, it wasn’t because they were busy but evidently didn’t have enough staff, however we saw staff walking around a lot but they didn’t look like they were doing much except talking. Several tables sat dirty almost the whole time we were there. Hostess wasn’t very friendly…acted like she didn’t want to be there. Looked like they did a big take out business…probably a reason for that. Hubby had the gumbo but it had too much seasoning for him, I had the roasted chicken thighs & tri-tip steak. Steak was awesome but the chicken was over cooked.

My tomato mozzarella salad was the saddest thing I have seen come from BJs. I ordered delivery so I could not show the restaurant how ridiculous my poor salad is. A BUNCH of greens, five little cheese balls and a quartered tomato…maybe 8 pieces of itty bitty diced red onion. So pitiful. I thought I ordered a Tomato Mozzarella salad which used to be barely any greens and lots of cheese and tomatoes. I asked for extra dressing and got two different types. Come on BJs!! The two stars are for my broc /cheese soup (including the filmy layer on top) and my lukewarm soggy over-seasoned brussel sprouts. You can see the seasoning caked on the side of the container. The rating kept going down as I looked at each item. I guess I will NEVER order BJs delivered. Oh!! AND NO utensils as requested - perfect!

Worst service ever… had to ask after 15 min for our drinks. ordered salad with no tomatoes, salad came out with tomatoes. Had to ask for our waters again.. our food came out cold and soggy, manager had the whole table remade..At first when we were seated i notice her other tables had extra cups and dirty dishes, nothing had been clear from the table Til dessert came out. Which is a huge nono in the restaurant world. At least as for me as a waitress up north. Should always clear plates especially if stacked on table by customerBiggest issue is lack of attentiveness by server… even walking by and noticing customer isnt touching food should be a sign to ask if everything is ok, which she didnt.Wait times are nuts.. shouldnt take more then a half hour for a dessert(ice cream and churros) We sat there for 2 1/2 hours last night. To order a mini pizza and a sandwich… it was obviously our food sat in the window for to long. Yes they remade our food but by then we were tired and ready to leave.Manager was well aware of what was happening.. after attempting to get his attention 3 times. as u can see in pictures of pizza the dough wasnt cooked all the way. It was soggy.

We’ve been to this BJ’s many times. But I feel that the service over the last 6 months has seriously deteriorated. They still have most of the seating closed. Some of the servers are rude and seem to not care much about their jobs. I understand if you have an off night, but we had a server who almost refused to even speak to us one time. It felt like an inconvenience just to ask for a refill. Tonight upon coming in we were told that (even though it was only 7:30), the servers were ending their shifts, and we would have to sit in the bar area. We left and went to Outback down the road. On the off chance you can get a table you want and a friendly server (a rare combination), at least the food is usually good.

Good food excellent service! Highly recommended!

Giving this place 1 star is being generous ! We stopped here for dinner at 5 p.m. and were told there was a 1 hour and 45 minute wait. Half the place was empty. So we waited and were seated in 50 minutes. Waitress was very attentive . She came to take our orders (5 of us) and promptly told us that they were not serving burgers, sandwiches, or pastas. WHAT ? The excuse was that the burger chef was on a break, the sandwich chef was on break and the pasta chef was on break. REALLY ? We didn't believe it and felt sorry for the waitress; obviously, she was told what to say and did not have any other explanations. Shrugged her shoulders; poor girl. We ordered the nacho platter which looked nice but was essentially a platter of chips with cheese melted and chopped up grilled chicken, a few jalapeños and a little scoop of guacamole and sour cream (not really nachos). We ordered a couple different soups (broccoli cheese and clam chowder) which were terrible. Two of us order salads and they both tasted horrible; not sure if it was unwashed greens or old greens. One ordered a mini pizza and it did not arrive until the rest of us had eaten. If we had waited, the BAD soup would have also been COLD; not really a loss because we could not eat it. Where the heck is the BJ's management????Also, this place was dirty. Fingergprints everywhere there was a shiny surface, and the bathrooms were totally unserviced. Paper towels and TP all over the floor. Waste containers overflowing!

Amazing service, food and drinks! We were looking for a good restaurant for lunch after our wonderful hike at Mori Point. We were super hungry and tired after the hike. We ended up going to BJ’s at the San Bruno location. Our experience at BJ’s other locations in Bay Area wasn’t that good so didn’t really expect much from this place but to our great surprise this location was great, especially our waitress!Kids— Kids plate included mac n cheese, fries (shaped like smileys ?) and chocolate milk. Great portion for 2 toddlers to share and the smiley fries were an instant hit!!Adults— we ordered a margarita sampler which included 4 different fruity margaritas, IPA beer (was very good, sorry forgot the name…) , avocado egg rolls for starters (delicious) and spicy chicken noodles with nuts for entree (very tasty with the right mix of spice and crunch)Hence 5 stars ⭐️ ?

The curbside pick up was the worst. My order was ready at 1:30pm. I received a 2 texts that our order was going to be ready soon and once we arrived to park and click on the link to let BJs know we had arrived. We did just so. We waited for nearly 25 minutes and finally decided to walk into the restaurant. We told the host about our wait and he said that we should of called in. He said that those texts are automated and that he doesn't see them when they come through. No where in the text did it say to call in. Our food had been sitting behind him for at least 10 minutes, although he said that it was probably 5-10 minutes. Our food was cold when we got back to the car. If the curbside pick up service is to blame, then their needs to be a better system. And if BJs received my online order, then why didn't they receive my message that we were at the pick up area?? I've never had any issues with curbside pick up before anywhere else. This was our first pick up order and will be the last. From the previous reviews, I can see why it has low ratings. And even more so after our unpleasant experience. Very upsetting!!
