I've been coming here for over three decades. First off all, if you've never been here before just know that they do things different. This is because it's sort of set up like a cafeteria in that you stand in line with a tray and order as you go. There are no waitresses it waiters. But don't let that discourage you from going here. You will be pleasantly surprised, especially when you taste the food. The soups are amazing, their Texas toast are awesome, and the choices for main entre are endless. From steak and shrimp to spaghetti and meatballs too hamburgers and grilled cheese sandwiches. This place, especially for the prices, is a must visit!

Good food and a positive way with the family of God

Yummy food selection is wide, & prices are really good for the for what you get and taste is so delicious!

Always yummy, always packed! But, that's because it's the best deal in town! Portions are the proper size, few leftovers. Prices are very reasonable and if you go before 5 p.m. the cost of the meal includes entree, soup or salad, and drink. TIP: Refills aren't included for sodas so I always have my kids get a soda without ice, go to the water dispenser, get a cup with only ice and add their soda at the table (which really means mom fills the cups because they spill, even at 29! ). They get 3 drinks out of one soda because ice takes up so much room. I always get iced tea which has free refills. Also, if you like Splenda, it's not on the table but they have it by the bus station. Just ask for some.Lastly, we always leave $1 per person tip...we pick up our own food at the window and serve ourselves but they clean up after us. That deserves a $1 per person for sure!

I love this place! Every time I'm in San Bernardino for training I come here for lunch now. I look forward to having their Lemon Chicken with a baked potato and salad, next time I'll try the steamed mixed veggies and the soup, either the chicken wild rice or the clam chowder, but I absolutely can't wait till lunchtime to eat here! It's cash only peeps, but if you forget to bring that cash, they do have an ATM inside, & it will charge you a fee.I also suggest you take a look at the menu before you go if it's your first time because it can be a bit overwhelming, pics of the plates w the price on the wall there to accommodate you, but the line moves quick like a cafeteria, so you don't want to be that newbie who holds up the line, or well you can just let peeps go ahead of you. In any case, I'm sure you will enjoy!Yummy food selection is wide, & prices are really good for the for what you get and taste is so delish! You'll see that you get your choice of soup or salad with your meal, baked or mashed potatoes, or steak fries, or mixed veggies and you get a Texas toast, remember like the one Sizzler had?! And of course, your drink.Ample parking is right up front, shouldn't be a problem.Lemon chicken lunch w baked potato, & Texas toast yum! #sundowners fresh cooked lunch $7.50!

Honestly I have been coming here since I was a child and I'm always thrown back with nostalgic Vibes and memories going with My Grandma and Mom and Aunt's and Uncle's they restaurant used to back in the day decorate for every HOLIDAY PERO YA NO (BUT NOT NO MORES THEY SAID CHALE TOO MUCH WORK) LOL BUT EN SERIO Sundowners is the Spot where You get YOUR SALAD OR SOUP OR BOTH AND YOU PICK WHAT YOU WANT TO EAT AND THEN PAY, SIT, AND WAIT FOR A BIT AND GRUB I LOVE THIS PLACE AND IT WILL ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY CORAZON HEART ❤

I have been going here for over 30 years and no matter how time in between I am never disappointed. Good food & prices. (Would have given 4.5 stars if I was able. I rarely give 5 stars because I believe there's always room for continuous improvement).

I was recommended this place. The clam chowder was stupendous. But everything else was acceptable at best. That is the reason for my 3 star rating. The customer service was also alright. I got lunch because they do not serve breakfast here.

You can’t beat them for the price and quality of food. You won’t find better food for a better price, that’s for sure! Also the staff are wonderful and very helpful, and accommodating every time I’ve been.

We stopped at this restaurant on our road trip Las Vegas to San Diego. We are so impressed. We had the lunch special. On the day we visited, they served corn chowder. It was SO good!!!The baked potato was cooked to perfection. The toast was crunchy.Highly recommended.
