My family has been coming here for generations. This place is simply perfect. They are well rounded, everything they make is delicious. They have the best Mexican food in California. They really make you feel at home here. I have been coming here since I was a kid and it has always been the go to place to eat. I feel confident anytime I bring someone new here they will love it. This place has never let me down.
This place was SOOOO good. We loved it. The best chile rellenos I have ever eaten!!!!! The staff was SO friendly, and we literally cleaned our plates. Totally exceeded expectations!

We heard about Mitla Cafe via a YouTube foodie. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated quickly. The restaurant was clean and had comfortable seating. The women’s restroom was also clean which is important to me because that means the kitchen is probably clean as well?? Every staff member we met was friendly, polite and attentive. Chips and salsa were tasty and not to spicy. There was also fresh hot sauce on the table. We loved the ground beef tacos ?- they did not have to much lettuce, plenty of fresh cheese, tomatoes and a nice crispy shell with a nice portion of ground beef. We also sampled a Chile relleno, cheese enchilada and a carne asada taco. All had great flavor and were fresh. We had food to take home and will definitely be back! ????

Great customer service ? chips and salsa was delicious. Everything we ordered was on point it was delicious no complaints. Prices are great, they serve great portions. I definitely recommend this place to anyone, its a must try.
If you're in San Bernardino and in the mood for some delicious Mexican food, this is the place to be. My family and I have always enjoyed coming to Mitla Cafe for many years. The atmosphere of this restaurant is historic and is well known due to being a Route 66 Attraction. The food is hot and fresh, staff is friendly and professional, and you'll be leaving the establishment with a full satisfied stomach. I highly recommend getting the taco plate with a side of beans and rice and pair it with the golden lager Whistling Saint brewed by Modern Times Beer. It's the perfect combination. I ordered the chili Colorado and it was delicious! This was the first time my husband and I had been there. The staff is friendly and helpful. The portions are big. I ordered the half portion of the chili Colorado and it was enough for 2-3 people. If you go away hungry, it's your own fault. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Mitla Cafe is a classic, a Southern California original. It's the birthplace of the hardshell taco, and they're as good today as they ever were. Get the shredded beef taco, and cover it with their fresh salsa and red chilli sauce. The enchiladas are great as well, and the chicken is tender and juicy, a perfect choice to top the Sharon salad. Whatever you get, you can't go wrong.
Fantastic. Get the #6 combo. Gives you the three best items on the menu.Taco Bell ripped this place off, but very poorly because to compare this place to Taco Bell is like comparing apples to a rotten orange. One is edible, one is technically edible but will probably end in tragedy.This place is great, give it a visit.
