Really enjoyed the catfish sandwich. Perfectly battered and cooked. Ample amounts of Hot and juicy fish with a delicious tartar/ slaw sauce on a toasted brioche bun. Family owned and operated, my favorite type of restaurant! Extremely friendly employees. Homemade mac and cheese was delicious. For a Southern Restaurant, I was not impressed with the greens. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. This place is a MUST TRY

A short 15 min wait for the hottest, freshest chicken you could possibly ask for. The skin is crispy, the meat is tender and full of flavor and paired with perfectly made waffles, I Love Chicken And Waffles is the perfect stop on a road trip for a quick bite to eat. The Louisiana hot sauce paired with the syrup adds a depth of flavor to an already succulent meal. The staff is warm and friendly and the cherry on top of the experience is listening to Bob Marley classics while you dine. A truly unforgettable culinary experience. If I could give 6 stars I would.
Thank god we randomly drove by and stopped! WOW is an understatement. The place was busy and had a wait of 30-45min for the food to come out but certainly we’ll worth the wait and the prices, I didn’t look at the review prior to coming in and reading some of the reviews has me surprised, I hope that everyone has the same experience we did, the big guy at the counter was a little stressed because some of the items were running out but that is a good problem, we waited about 40min and mi kids started to complain but when the food got there they both said “It was worth the wait” great portions and delicious flavor, very fresh and hot. We definitely needed a Chicken & Waffle place back in SB…Sorry no pictures but we had chicken, waffles, red snapper collard greens, Mac n cheese, fries, hush puppies, and peach cobbler and all was on point?
It is very disappointing that this establishments lack luster enthusiasm to bring something new to the table and give a name to black owned businesses is shown by half effort service and goods, from the tiny packets of cheap butter and watered down corn syrup labeled “syrup” to the hour plus wait and “runt of the litter” meals. We were thanked for our patience and sent off with soggy waffles and stale chicken for an unreasonable price (2 piece for $11, 3 piece for $13, 5 piece for $16). It is a shame that this place will not be garnering any support, any time soon. With the best of luck that things change.
Just know that consistency is important . My first time was 5 months ago an everything was delicious , ( chicken wings, Mac n cheese, greens , and red beans and rice) I went back 2 days ago and nothing had flavor , the red beans and rice was water down , the chicken wings was fried to soft, and the yams taste as though they came straight from the can ( which is okay just put butter and brown sugar on them ) .. The girl at the front desk never smile and acts as though you’re getting on her nerves ( I’m sure it’s just who she is, but she isn’t front counter worthy). Last thing , the waiting time is horrible 1 hour is too long !!! Come on now !!! The prices I feel is high but, it is what it is .. The gentlemen are excellent and very welcoming . I would go back because I want them to succeed but please work on time management and food preparation consistency
On arriving to the chicken and waffle we was greeted and felt at home food was great service was great food was on time and hot and ready to eat Can’t wait till Sunday seafood Sunday shrimp and grits shrimp and grits❤️
First time experience with this establishment I must admit was very very pleasing. Our overall experience was truly great. Clean, customer friendly, and most if all the staff was made sure our experience was worthy of coming back. The food was great the plate presentation meet with pleasant expectation and I'm a cook. Over all I Love ? n Waffles is Bona fide.
10/10 establishment. Loved the food and the atmosphere. Everything was made fresh and every single employee was so friendly. My family got chicken and waffles and Mac and cheese. All delicious and fresh. Not a single complaint. Angelo at the front was especially helpful. Will be returning!
Delicious food the mac and cheese is to die for and as far as a chicken goes it is like the freshest recipe that you'll ever have. Only complaint that I would possibly say about this place is that they have a lot of issues with their phones so if you do want to call ahead to order and pick up sometimes it's really difficult to get ahold of them and their voicemail is never set up or it's always full. And when I did go to the actual restaurant when I couldn't get a hold of them they did tell me that I was the third person to tell them that they were having issues with their phones.
