Arrived at Albertacos and "thought" we were going to Alberto's. Menu is very different (should have been our first clue). The cashier was sort of friendly. Cost was $30 for 2 drinks and 2 meals. We both ordered taco and enchilada plate. The taco was very good. The rest of the food was barely warm. The dining room was dirty, with food on the floor and on the tables. The place wasn't very busy, so not sure why the mess. It was also very warm. We will not visit this place again. We will go to the real Alberto's.
Awful experience! Went through the drive-thru on Sunday, had to repeat my order twice in line and then 3 more times with 2 different people at the window and still had to correct it because they took it down wrong. After finally getting the order in they asked me to pull to the front. I wanted over 30 minutes, got my food and went home. They forgot an entire meal and side of guac. Went back, got the items and got back home. The whole experience was well over an hour which mightve been excusable if the food were good. They put guac all over the tacos even tho I asked for them not to, my sons bean and cheese Burrito was rock hard and his fries were soggy, they forgot to put anything but meat in my wife's Burrito, and all the meat in general was tough and pretty flavorless. SKIP THIS PLACE
This place is ok, their carne asada nachos are a joke and so are their tortas. The nacho chips are usually stale and the meat is stringy..Castanedas is wayyyy better! And their torta are a joke! Dry meat, cheese, lettuce. You pay extra for the beans, no mayo or sour cream! Like I said Castanedas is better. I gk here cuz it's close to my home and my friend pays. Other than that, I don't go there myself.
They have the bad habit of giving you a burrito with meat and only meat no beans no rice no tomato or lettuce just a straight tortilla and beef chunk...idk what else to say very disappointing.
The food was okay. The dining area wasn't very clean. Would only come back if it was an emergency.
Prices reasonable for the portions. I love the rolled tacos with everything. Burritos great too
The food was fine, hearty but surprisingly bland for Mexican food. We got tacos which had more filling on the shell than inside the taco, carne asada tacos which were pretty good but bland meat, and rolled tacos. The carne asada fries we got (which everyone seems to rave about) had underdone fries heaped with meat, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese; the whole thing became a mushy mess before too long. All together this was an expensive, mediocre lunch. It’s convenient because the nearest decent Mexican food is all the way down Kendall, but we probably won’t make this a regular stop.
My wife and I stopped in for lunch yesterday while driving from Utah to San Diego. After eating ( what they call food ) with the family, we finished our drive to the hotel. Once we got to the hotel both of my children ended up with food poisoning, and were up all night long throwing up. I called the restaurant and explained what had happened and asked for a refund. ( which any restaurant would do )They told me the only way they would refund me is if I brought my kids to the doctor, and he confirmed it was their food that caused my kids to get food poisoning, and then they hung up on me. This is the worse customer service and the worse food I have ever had. DO NOT EAT HERE!!
The food is good just not authentic enchiladas sauce made from scratch, but it would compliment the dishes a lot better. The carne asada was good and the rice as well was good its just the sauce that makes it taste as its name Albert and not Alberto's if you know what I mean.
Pretty decent, only complaint would be that I ordered a chili Verde burrito for my wife & asked for it done wet/ enchilada style and it was a chili Verde burrito on the inside with red sauce on top which should have been green sauce
