Quick, homemade sandwiches (on a variety of nummy breads) to eat in the car. (Take out only.) Gorgeous organic tomatoes delivered by the grower as we waited for our order. Located 2 blocks from the Steinbeck Center in Salinas, an out of the way discovery worth a repeat visit.
Place is cute but desserts sell off right away. Scones are pretty good and working my way around the cookie varieties. If you want a loaf of bread, order needs to be placed a day before.
The Bel Air and Road Hog are two of my favs. fresh bread. gets a little busy during lunch time but ordering pick up makes is easy.
Sandwiches are ok, some are sorta good. Got a burnt bun once, semi-frequent order mix ups. Breakfast sandwich is the real deal.
The Bakery Station has good sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch.The egg breakfast sandwich and the big classic BLT sandwich, are my recommendation.The cookies are a must get frisbee size.
The Bakery Station has some of if not the best sandwiches available in Salinas. The Bel Air in particular is a favorite of mine. With reasonable prices, a great selection, and excellent customer service, I can strongly recommend this location for any lunch goer.A few notes: First, lunchtime is BUSY, as any good place should be, so call ahead. Second, this is a takeout only location, so do not plan on sitting in place for lunch, but this also makes it perfect for office takeout. Third and final, parking nearby can be a challenge, so prepare for a couple of minutes on some days just to find a nearby spot.This review was completed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Awesome sandwiches!! The macaroni salad is a must! This is a place that I try to go to whenever I'm in Salinas. In fact, it's the type of place I would even make a special trip to go to, and I have. Yes, it's that good.
Best sandwich with fast service. Got the BelAir and the proportions of meat to bread to toppings to cheese was perfect, and there was lots of each!
I eat here every day, there sandwiches are the best. Always fresh ingredients, and great selection.
Huge, tasty sandwich at a great price point. Set up in an old gas station. They were only doing take out at the time of this post.
