Absolutely awesome steaks, Smalley's Roundup has a mean Ribeye and offers a few sides with the steak. Good portions tasty food great service can't go wrong with Smalley's Roundup!Make sure to order an extra big portion because you'll definitely want some more for later. Highly recommended
I've always love Smalley's but since covid they don't put their signature sauce on the table anymore when you dine in. I recently went to dinner to celebrate my son's graduation and our orders did not have enough sauce and the servers were to busy to check on us so we weren't able to get any additional signature sauce which totally messed our meals up. I wish they would hire more staff to help out.
Food is always delicious ? Got the sampler platter today with tri tip, chicken and ribs. Sides I chose were salad and clam chowder. Always the best! Love how they give you sherbet at the end too for dessert. Great small touch ? will definitely be back and 10/10 recommended.
Good ribs and pork chops. Ample amount.I was disappointed last time that I tried it but this time food and service was much better.Keep up the good work ....maybe next time 5 stars.
BBQ has a ketchup taste. Tri tip in my sandwich was very rubbery. Place was pretty empty for lunch that should have told me what to expect
Excellent place for some bbq ribs, steak, hamburgers. Large dishes and even with dessert.
First I have to set the stage,went to freshen up in the restroom and thought I was in a dirty gas station latrine...had not been touched since...at least the night before, puddles on the floor whitn a small warning easle to watch your step. (Should be checked hourly)Employees raising Cain in the kitchen like they were already closed, we arrived 1hour before closing.We were the last diners to eat, my salad was fantastic. Husbands plate was hard to look at. Dried out ribs and tri-tip with loads of (cold) BBQ sauce to try and bring the meat back to life. Clam chowder was so thick it was like left over thanksgiving gravy.If they offered same for 1/2 price because it was the bottom of the barrel it would have been to much.My recommendation: order like I did, New York Steak salad made to order, so it's fresh!
Not at all what is was when they were on market st. Waitress was so unfriendly. Food was definitely not bbq'd. Had to be microwaved. Read all the other poor reviews. Then avoid. It was so so bad
A lot of people love different versions of barbecue. Smalley's has been around for a long time but 1st time trying it today was total waste of time and food, Food was completely cold, dry, no taste. Smalley's may be a great place to dine but the one in Salinas sure is not. Me personally was not happy with eating their platter and will never go back again.
Great service great place but since the covid the food just not the same just kinda basic now the ribs are tough and not as good under cooked
