The halibut was very good and my boyfriend got the pork chop which he also enjoyed and I tried a little bit. It feels good tonight you can trust the waiter to bring you a Chardonnay that pairs well with your food. The reservation I made wasn't even necessary for a Friday at 6:45. The service was excellent and I don't think I have had a better fish, not even kidding. I left my plate completely clean and unfortunately didn't leave room for dessert

Stopped in Salinas on drive from Santa Barbara to SF. Needed dinner, looked at “restaurants near me” in downtown and Patria was closest. Was 7:30 pm, no resvn but table available. Chose “jaeger spatzle” as owner is German (I asked). He recommended a glass of Pinot with it. Was delicious especially spatzle and red cabbage and the owner (and waitress, his wife?) were wonderful hosts. Highly recommend!

Very tasty! Had the gnocchi and my partner had the carbonara, both exceeded my expectations. Everyone was also very kind which personally I found surprising. Generally my partner and I are ignored at nicer restaurants because we come from work to go out and look a bit disheveled (we work with kids). Everyone came by while we were looking at the menue to make sure we had been helped they were fast but did not sacrifice flavor to be so. The restaurant is a bit pricey, however you get what you pay for. We can not wait to go back! Thank you for making out date night a delicious one, we will see you all soon.

A short menu, however with a good choice of dishes. Friendly service with good advise and a smile. The menu served (lamb shank) was really good. Surprising good restaurant down town Salinas.

Fabulous atmosphere, menu, food, presentation, ambiance, staff exceeded expectations! Will go back. Very nice and just a little different from all the rest.

We enjoyed thoroughly. Everything was fresh and well prepared. We tried the carbonara and the butternut squash ravioli. We also shared a beet salad and for desert the pear tart. It was all excellent. The the mixed drinks were a little weak but the wine was a good pour and very good. I would stick with the house wines with dinner. Would return here if in the area.

This is a charming gem with delicious food. The decor was nicely done and there wasn't a single bite of food that we didn't absolutely enjoy! The chef visited our table and later happily wound up the cuckoo clocks so my daughter could experience their chirping birds, chimes, and moving characters. I would highly recommend giving this place a try. Thank you Chef!

Our party of eight was treated to a splendid meal at this cozy and charming restaurant. The menu was short and everyone's dinner was delicious. I had scallops with mashed potatoes and a sauce that was amazing. Our waiter was quietly attentive and helpful. And then the desserts... just as wonderful. The limoncello cake was fabulous. I highly recommend this charming restaurant. I'd go back in a heartbeat, but we live two hours north of Salinas.

Had the bone in Pork chop delicious tender

This is the restaurant that made me love German food. I had the Jaegar Schnitzel and it was perfectly lean and lightly breaded. It came with fluffy spaetzle and semi-sweet cabbage that enhanced the experience even more!
