Oh my... service was great, food was not. The fajitas we ordered were steak and shrimp, steak was overcooked, not the slightest bit tender and not seasoned. Shrimp was grilled and a bit tough as well. Prices were high for the amount of food served. Mom had a chicken wrap/burritos.. it was more of a rice wrap with a smidge of chicken. We try to support local business but we won't be coming here again. The Michelada was mediocre, so sweet that it was not enjoyable. Presentation of the drink was very nice. But I'd rather have an ugly delicious drink, than a beautiful meh drink.
Went for lunch the first time last week. Or waitress was great. We got to talking and it turned out that she was the owner! We chatted for a while, lovely person.Had a chicken sandwich that was not Mexican fare, but was so good that I ordered burritos to go and my wife and I had them for dinner.Good Mexican food, nice price, the feel of a friendly neighborhood Taqueria.
My sister took me there for the MiChelada and it was the best I have ever had with the seasoned grilled large prawns!
The food is great, the people are great, and so are the prices. If you eat, you should try this place out.
Passing through Solano at lunchtime and had a tough time finding a spot that was open the day after Thanksgiving. This spot was open and had plentiful out door seating so in we go.Prices are good, the food was okay, service was decent. I had a two item combo featuring a bland potato taco, mushroom & cheese enchilada with old (canned? frozen??) mushrooms, can't really recommend either. Beans and rice on the side were okay. Chips were decent, salsa was decent. Partner had the house burrito which was served with black beans (better than the pinto beans I had, both types were refried) and rice. He said it was alright. Big kid had a shredded beef burrito but he only ate half of it and he normally stuffs himself so... presumably not the best. Little kid had a side of beans and rice, was underwhelmed. So, don't particularly recommend and likely won't return but it got the job done so if you end up here, just know that you could do better but you could also do worse.
Terrible service. Forgot my drink till the end of my meal. Terrible food, no flavor, ? sauce, no real spice, sorry excuse for Mexican food.
One of the best Fajitas plate for this price just $12.69. Thank you!!!
I enjoyed the food I got an Asada plate which included two pieces of asada, red rice, black beans, a cheese enchilada, flour tortillas with some pico de gallo with a small dab of gauc everything was good no issues.
Carne Asada is tasteless and not marinated in nothing, terrible. Years ago it was the best marinated Carne Asada in all Salinas, now they must be Lazy to properly season it and let it marinate.
I love the mango michelada
