Great food was fresh and hot. Great service also get busy during lunch hour
Huevos rancheros with carnitas and Corona Familiar. The Carnitas was excellent.
Amazing tacos. This is one of those little shops that cares way more about the quality of the food over how Instagram worthy their decor is and that's what makes it so good. Staff is friendly, speak English and Spanish so if you don't speak the language you can still order, don't worry. They even have the bottled coke from Mexico (the drink, calm down) which is way better than the American recipe. It gets busy here but they turn out the orders within minutes so if you see a line, don't move on, you'll get your food pretty quick regardless. Some could argue that the environment isn't very 'high end' and the eating area justifies 4 stars but this place knows what it is, and what it isn't. They're there to make amazing food, plain and simple, and for that I give 5 stars.
1 Star because they had beer. This food was TRASH and that's exactly where it went, in the trash, quick. Dry rice, watery-runny beans. Shrimp from the frozen food section. Sopes to die from (not for) I should've went to the taco truck. Better food out of that little truck. Don't know why these clowns have an entire restaurant with a big kitchen.DO NOT COME SEE FOR YOURSELF-YOU'RE WELCOME-

Pretty good food. The portions were decent, the food was well made and tasted good. The place was pretty clean, it gets busy very fast.
The is is some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. The 4 different taco meats that I had were all extremely greasy and on the very low end of the scale flavor-wise. I’m a white guy who can cook any of these meats far better with recipes from memory - yuck! At least the chips were good and fresh. Won’t be back.

I moved to Michigan 2 years ago, and just recently went to visit Salinas again. I missed this Mexican food... really good tortas and buritos!
