Always has been a great place to eat. I would give a full 5 star, but the new owners took away the free kettle baked chips while you wait for your food. I've been going to Ellis for family meals since I was a kid. There were always those kettle baked chips. Other than great staff and speedy meal preparation.
It was ok, I was there last Sunday with my mom amd boys. Last time I was in town they use to serve chips. The don't serve potatoes chips anymore, smh! The food was just ok, salmon was small probably from a frozen bag and veggies were not flavorful and hard. The food wasn't impressive, I'll be eating somewhere else when I visit back home again. :/

I’ve been here several times in the past, and have never had any issues. We are normally sat promptly. And food is always good.However this time around, I ordered the French toast combo and the French toast was cold, the butter wasn’t even melted.. and my eggs, which I ordered scrambled were still partly raw. Super gross. We also ordered the Stacked Salsa Verde, and everything needed salt! The food was much blander than I remember. I’m a bit disappointed as I loved coming here. Our server, was nice enough, but she passed by our table several times, without much acknowledgement. We waited about ten minutes before being able to flag her down for more creamer. Three stars for the orange juice, at least that’s still good.Edit: I just read a review, about how someone had a negative experience because the servers and staff seem to ignore Hispanics. And I believe we had a similar experience.When we requested a table for two with the host, she dismissed us, and said the wait would be 30 min. They seemed busy, but we were determined to have a good breakfast. And we weren’t too keen on driving around to find somewhere else. So we agreed, she seemed annoyed, and took down our names. And what do ya know. We didn’t even have a chance to sit down before, someone else called out for our party of two. I believe she thought that by exaggerating the wait time, we would be discouraged from dining in. Nonetheless, we were seated, but the experience just went further downhill from there.Our server checked on her other tables several times, and only came around to ours twice, throughout our dining experience. Once to take our order, and another time to let us know she was leaving on break. (We we’re the last table she informed.)She seemed like she was going to leave without letting us know, until we made eye contact and she finally made it over to our table. Like I said we wanted more creamer, she brought it over. But never offered refills for juice, or coffee. We felt as if we were stuck in a corner, and forgotten. It’s not like we didn’t leave a great tip. Very upsetting now that I put two and two together.
Always a yummy meal. I had the Denver omelet. You want to be sure to try their pastries! I selected a croissant with almond paste and shivered almonds... it was divine!!
I don't typically go out of my way to review places but this just upset me. Food wise, everything was delicious. The customer service on the other hand...not so good. I went to have breakfast with my father and as soon as we stepped inside, the atmosphere in the room changed. I don't know if the waitresses don't particularly like Latinos or Spanish speaking folk but we were dismissed so much. I counted six times the waitress went and asked the guests next to our table if they wanted more coffee. For us, it was once. She never came to ask us if we needed anything else, if she could get us something. It was truly disappointing. When we were done eating, we were chatting until the waitress straight up placed the check on the table, basically asking us to pay up and leave. I didn't notice the same behavior with the other with the other patrons. It hadn't been five minutes since our empty plates had been picked off the table. The place was practically empty for the most part, so it wasnt like we were hogging the table. It was just upsetting to receive this kind of treatment. Honestly don't feel like visiting the place ever again.

Usually a 5 star place. They were very slow to seat us (15 min), yet most of the tables/booths were empty. Drinks from the bar were slow to arrive (19-15 min). The server was good, the food was quick & delicious!
