We landed at SFO and we were on our way to Paso and got hungry. My wife found this little gem. Authentic flavors, good service, not much on decorations or decor but the food is excellent. We throughly enjoy bistec picado and chiles rellenos.
Delicious authentic Mexican food! Zacatecano plate is my man's go to! Carne Asada, enchiladas, flautas, sopes, pork chops, Chile Verde, 7 mares, seafood dishes, posole and menudo they have it all! Chips and salsa are the ?. 1 of the best Mexican restaurants in town ?

A very casual no frills simple spot. They serve tasty flavorful dishes … just like home …. The flank steak and the sides were delicious. The service is fast and friendly. Coffee is good.
Such a great find! A truly authentic Mexican restaurant, with amazing food. My chili rellenos and my wife’s flautas pollos were absolutely delicious. And the tortillas were made in house, and incredible.The building isn’t glamorous, but If you are looking for something local and real, this is it!

This place is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in California. From a simple queso verde enchilada (to die for!) to a perfectly seasoned & cooked asada or a combo that has both + a flauta, fluffy rice & creamy beans...you will not be disappointed. We've been coming here for years...practically anytime we pass through Salinas, this is our must stop for place to eat. There is a server who is always there...she wears her hair short, she has a husky kinda sexy deep voice...always kind & efficient but she handles the sassy customers with grace & a smile. You are our favorite...thank you!
BEST Mexican food I’ve ever had!! Nothing beats this place. Anywhere I go I compare their enchiladas to El Zacatecano's and nothing comes close!! The rice is PERFECT! So flaky and the flavor OMG!! If I lived in Salinas I would be there very often!! So authentic?? Can't until I'm back in town!! PLACE IS GOLD! Not to mention but they brought back Guacamole back into my life !! It's a must try!!
The customer service was good but going there after reading the reviews we were disappointed. The food was not seasoned and the meat was dry.
