I was expecting wonderful, but we all disappointed. The tastes wasn't special either. I had to add soya sauce. The dishes were priced higher for better quality food. It wasn't. There were some nice favors and the place was very pleasant. But knowing some great restaurants around the world, we have experienced so better tasting Chinese food. Sorry, it didn't do it for us. Please enjoy the photos I have taken of the food and place!
I came here with my daughter to try it. I have been to Journey to the dumplings in Elk Grove and absolutely loved it...that place is so good..I keep going back.I was in the area and thought maybe it would taste the same...I was very very wrong. We ordered the Peking pork and soup dumplings. The dumplings had very little broth...and had no flavor. The ones at Journey to the dumpling are so good...I can't get enough of the broth..it is so good...I just close my eyes and enjoy it.These were just not good...they had no flavor...I really wanted to like them...they have them in these tin pans and they stick...its weird. My daughter said they tasted like they are frozen and reheated. The Peking pork was yuck...they were like steamed pork with sweet and sour sauce over them. I thought it was going to be like journey to the dumplings...it did not even look like the picture in the menu. What a shame...I definitely won't be back
It is very good Chinese food! Good service but not great. The tea had to be changed because was not very good.
Dropped by for a quick dinner and found the food to taste authentic and flavorful without being too salty. My girlfriend is from Hong Kong and she liked it as well. Definitely one of the better Cantonese-style restaurants in Sacramento (if not the best). Looking forward to trying their dim sum at some point, as it seems like they have a fairly large dim sum menu. Service is friendly. The place looks a bit upscale and is priced accordingly, but otherwise the dining experience itself is quite casual.
We ordered the rainbow chicken and it was sooo good, the best. Our first time to dine here and the place is just wonderful, staff were friendly and attentive. It’s now our go-to destination for authentic cantonese cuisine.
Very busy location especially on the weekends. Arrive early to avoid line. All menus items were tasty!
The food was good but the spare ribs had what looked like hair that doesn't belong on someones head. I unfortunately put it in my mouth with the food and spit it out. Because if this I question the cleanliness of the food preparation. Lost my appetite, horrible experience. Don't think I'll be back.
I try to avoid 1 star reviews, but honestly, they warrant it.The service was very slow. This would be understandable if they were short staffed or the restaurant was busy, but neither of these was the case. We were one of 3 or 4 tables, and we had to wait ~10 minutes after being seated to get an order taken. They also only came back to check on us one time after getting us our food (which also took a long time). We had to flag down waiters 2 separate times to ask for missing items we had ordered or to request additional food. They never brought out 2 of the ~8 items we had ordered, one of which was just plain white rice... We just decided to pay and leave rather than wait another 30 minutes to get what we had ordered an hour ago. The lights above us were flickering, so that was annoying. The food itself was...ok? One noodle dish we had (I can't remember which one) was very bland, but the BBQ pork was pretty flavorful. I'd give the food itself 2 or 3 stars, but given how much they charged and the small portions, I definitely wouldn't eat here again. Couple this with the slow and poor service... yeah, I'd avoid this place.Just FYI, if you want to still come here and want Dim-Sum, come before 2:00 or so before they run out.
Visiting from out of town and found this restaurant on google map. We have a party of 8 and found a 10 people course for $328. Be ware the pricing on the menu might not be correct as they recently raised their pricing, our course end up being $358 (please print new menu!). The fish soup we had was very good, and they used the right type of chicken for the cold style chicken dish. We also had crabs, fry rice. We got brownies for dessert so it was a bit strange to have it at a Chinese restaurant (it was good tough)
Typical Chinese cuisine with 5 star service and flavor. Pricier than the average Chinese restaurant but it's reasonable because of the quality of food and service they provide. The dim sum here is all made in house from the noodle on har gow to the roasted duck. Dishes are consistent in flavor and quality. The service team here is top notch, great communication to get the guests seated and order taken promptly. Been here a couple times for the regular menu dining and it's on par with the dim sum. I suggest to venture out and just ask what's special that night and try something you usually don't eat! Great for bigger parties or special occasions such as anniversaries. It's somewhat pricey but the atmosphere and food is something to experience.
