The food here was soooo good. I got a chicken sandwich with Mac n cheese and my dad got pimento and chicken loaded fries. The seasoning they use is super flavorful and your able to choose level of spice. They even helped me figure out how spicy I would want it to try for the first time. They have very old school games in their dining area to play while you wait for food. The sauces are also really good.
The food isn’t worth it, it messed our stomachs up. I think the oil that they use isn’t the best. We ordered some fried chicken and The Sando along with some fries, and everything was spicy, but the spice itself wasn’t of a good kind. We felt the effects of it for hours afterwards. We couldn’t even begin eating the fries, given how messed up we felt. For the amount of food we had, it wasn’t exactly cheap either. They’ve seating inside and a few tables outside as well. The service is relatively quick, and there’s a restroom inside as well.
Tried this place at Foodieland last Fall and fell in love with the waffle, butter and syrup ?. ... the chicken is good too! I got hot ? which is exactly that, but I love spicy foods!
The food was delicious. It's a bit pricey, but we don't come here every week. LOL Keep in mind that medium is hot. ? ? ? Especially if you don't have a tolerance. ?
Worth it if you love spicy food I reccomend medium heat ( jalapeno and ghost pepper)but if you want to be Burning burning then go with hot The sando sandwich and guap fries for the fries got with mild not spicy but love the taste.
My favorite was their wings. They haven't had wings for almost a year now :(.The sides are really good. Spicy greens! The chicken nuggets were good, they don't have them anymore now either. I absolutely love the workers. Very personable and sweet! Love the dining area. Parking.... I mean it's downtown sacramento so don't expect much. But this place is awesome!
I’ve eaten here a few times and it is always consistent and has a wide range of spicy. The chicken and waffles are just the right combo of sweet and spicy with crisp fried chicken and fresh waffles. The atmosphere is great too whether you sit in or outside.
Absolutely outstanding hot chicken. I can see where they get the World famous part of their name. Everything from the chicken itself to slaw was perfectly seasoned, moist, and had just the right amount of spice. If you’re a hot chicken fan, definitely make the pilgrimage to the World Famous Hotboys and get yourself something to soothe your soul. I’d give the place 10 stars if I could. I’ll definitely be returning for more. Keep it spicy y’all.
The sando was fire. Mild plus was perfect the spice level. Collard greens were good too
Well... it just wasn't that good. Considering how much I paid for a sandwich and some fries ($30 with tip), this was disappointing. The fries had a little bit of chicken on them, which was more of just breading and barely any chicken inside. The sandwich tasted plain, and chicken was a but undercooked. Did not feel well after eating it. Only reason for the 2 stars and not 1, the employees are really nice, even when we came by close to closing time.
