Growing up in San Jose I lived about 2 miles from a Wienerschnitzel that we frequented quite regularly. I remember the yellow and red a frame hut with drive thru fondly. In my adulthood I've since left the bay area and moved into an area where the nearest one is like 50 miles away, so sad. Anyways on the occasion that we are close by I always make the trip to stop and get me some chili cheese anything, dog, fries, burger it don't really matter when it comes to this spot, it's my home time comfort food. Nothing brings me back to fond memories of childhood like a chili cheese dog and fry from Weinerschnitzel.
Idk what kind of training they have, But they have NEVER a messed up my order. They have good customer service and the food is made to order so it’s always hot . I eat here so much , I’m turning into a corn dog ??
I don't know what they where thinking but the chilly is not the same the screwed up when they changed to a lower quality of chilly I used to look forward to go to wienerschitzel when I came to Sacramento but not anymore I'll find another place to get a good chilly dog even if I have to go to a dozen places to find one I like sorry but they have lost a customer and my sister who lives in Sacramento agreed
The staff was courteous and my order came quickly.
This particular location was great food.. but one of the employees was not friendly what's so ever, and made for uncomfortable customer service. And the layout is weird..
It's okay for fast food...I love the chili dogs.
The Wienerschnitzel on Arden Way (Sacramento, CA) doesn't look like much, but the guys at night are friendly and professional... and the dogs are good. This particular place is one of the few, that still stays open till 12 midnight.
I was craving a sauerkaut polish dog and came here. Parked to eat it and immediately it smelt off. The sauerkaut was brown and it smelt so bad! Plus my fingers went right through the bun when I picked it up, the polish dog even seemed off. I had to throw it in the dumpster because it smelt that bad. Smell lingered in my car too. Brown sauerkaut.. I would have definitely gotten sick.. 5 dollar hotdog.. crazy.. costco please come back with the 1.50 polish dog.
The brisket fries were great
Quick, efficient, and good tasting food. This is the last location that I know of with the old A-frame design. Only outdoor seating and the drive-thru goes through the middle of the building. Love the nostalgia of it, but my F350 4x4 SuperCrew long bed won't fit without making me nervous.
