I legitimately have no idea how this place has such high ratings. I walked in and there were like 18 employees just chit-chatting and I was standing at the counter staring at the workers while they were all talking and ignoring me there was no one else in the store. Asked how lean the ground beef was was told it was 80% asked if there was any way to get 90% and was told to call in the morning.It really seems like the people that work here don't care about customers at all which is shocking since their reviews are so great maybe it was just me.
Sometimes the lamb is insanely expensive...like...$68 for 3lbs. But the quality is lovely, trusted farms, the guys are really nice and eager to help with anything special you have going on and when it's a special occasion and I need boneless leg of lamb...I only come here!
Great little butcher shop to go to for high quality meet. Particularly beef and sausage, but also some excellent lamb and pork. I particularly enjoy the pot pie as well!
V. Miller Meats is AWESOME!!! What a clean beautiful meat market ++++. They have such a wide assortment of meats anything you need is there. I went for 8 beef short ribs and I really wanted them a particular size. The butcher who was helping me had no problem grabbing a whole rib plate and cutting the 8 ribs I need to the size I wanted. WOW who does that?! V. Miller Meats does!!! So if you need beef, chicken, lamb, a wide variety of sausages, take and bake chicken pot pies, meat pies, and soups this is the place. Cannot wait to try more of their items. I will be making dinner tonight with their chorizo that looks amazing. Thank you guys for being so helpful.
We stopped here after reading about it in Sacramento Magazine (Nov edition) and the place was just as wonderful as expected! Knowledgable, friendly staff. Lots of options from tri tip to sausages, homemade savory pop tarts, beef wellington and pot pies! Even as a vegetarian, I was impressed and appreciated the ambiance of the place. My boyfriend and his friend got 2 Tomahawk steaks and cooked them to perfection last night. Thanks V Miller for a kitchen adventure!
Really happy that they now offer dry aged ribeye steaks. Also, their split pea soup is excellent.
walked in and just fell in love with the display case. lots of meat choices from beef to lamb to pork to different types of bratwurst type of sausages. Candice was very helpful and selected for me 2 lovely bone in ribeyes and several other meats. I highly recommend this place. I WILL/AM GOING BACK!
I am a newby in bbq smoking. I came across V Miller Meats multiple times but never drove there. I just kept going to nearby companies. Because I had a big backyard BBQ planned, I wanted to go to the top rated butcher in town.Eric has been a professional in assisting me. He provides world class customer service!
