Let's start with the good; fast and friendly service plus a ton of great local beer selection. The Bad - the pizza was terrible. I'm starting to see a theme of the west coasts inability to put together a satisfying pie.The Meatzza pizza is the abomination in the pictured; equipped with red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, salami, grilled ground beef (?), and bacon. It's tough to pick a start point to describe this poorly made dish, but the overwhelming feature of being undercooked does no favors it. The cheap out on placing one super thin slice of sandwich pepperoni on each predetermined slice says they are cutting corners on cost. Putting all of the sausage and grilled ground beef in the center not only left it colder than the rest of the pizza but also jazzed up the appearance by giving you a greasy starter bite for every slice. The low cost salami was both tasteless and thinner than a super model from the 80's. I'm presuming there's a tomato sauce shortage on the west coast due to their minimum usage of a base sauce. To make up for all of the short comings the offering, I believe the creator of this cuisine is on a quest to rid Sacramento of vampires with the abundance of garlic. One other pet peeve of mine, why thin cheese out on the crust to burn it and then sprinkle cheese on afterwards...?

This was our first time here and we had a great experience. Our server was very friendly and attentive, our food tasted great, and our drinks were good and strong. We had the buffalo cauliflower which was so good and we had the chopped steak and veggies and grilled chicken in Mac n cheese. All very good.

Tropics alehouse was a tremendous place to eat and drink. Their staff was welcoming and attentive throughout. Top notch food and service. Not to mention a choice of beers that will satiate even the most selective beer drinkers. A+.????

We ended up in town unexpectedly because of weather challenges over the pass to Reno and went tonight with my brother’s family to play DJ Trivia. We could tell the were short staffed but the staff who were there were working hard and still really friendly and helpful. Brandon was our server and he was great. It was busy with ten teams playing trivia, and we were a party of nine. I was impressed by how responsive he was and great with remembering who ordered what in spite of several us swapping seats. Foos was great and the portions were generous. Just go and have fun….especially on a Wednesday for DJ Trivia!

Great service and good happy hour food!

So good!! This place is right in the heart of Sacramento.

Come here for DJ Trivia every Wednesday for a good time. Happy Hour 3 to 6 for the pre-game and then game on at 7.

During the Sac Brew Bike tour, we stopped here for 40 minutes. The drinks were great, fun place, and I loved the Musubi. We will be back.

We visited here to watch a football game. They have a great beer selection that we enjoyed. I ordered the drunken chicken meal and it was excellent. Great Hawaiian themed spot.
