Sheeeeeesh. The food is GOOD, like heaven-sent, make you close your eyes and thank your mama GOOD. We got to meet Tori too, and she is just the sweetest soul. You can tell she really takes pride in her food and rightfully so. This place deserves all the praise. The smothered pork chops, cornbread, gumbo and fried chicken are god-tier.
Sweet, savory corn bread fried like a thick pancake that is so damn good. The black eyed peas were seasoned perfectly with carrots, onions, okra is such good comfort food and finally 3 pieces of crispy fried chicken were the icing on the proverbial cake of homemade southern soul food was some of the best in Sacramento. It's a local favorite.
This place is so special. The Gumbo is multi-level flavored. Every bite is so delicious. Very filling. Lovely staff. Mac and cheese so good. Mmmmm.

It took me three years to get here because I couldn’t get passed the the whole shack. -1star for selling me a combo with two meats and one side ?-1 another star because it smells like wet dog in that shack. Black people OMG do better
Recommended from a coworker, this place is great for clean, well seasoned, made to order food. I ordered the Gumbo, and the cornbread. It was exceptional.
I ordered over the phone asked for fried chicken all drums and 2 sides paid almost $40 asked didn't give me right pieces! They didn't know when I gave my order over the phone. Didn't get my Mac n cheese ordered 2 and argued that it was in the bag and tried to only give me one Mac n cheese. Not going back because she told me I can't take it back to or exchange my pieces of chicken I asked for bad business my husband been going for awhile but lost our business.
Best gumbo ever! ❤ the corn bread is my favorite. Everything I ever got from here was delicious.
Good old fashioned soul food prepared with love and served with kindness and southern hospitality. You can't help but love Tori's for the atmosphere and ambience ❤.
