If you find yourself out in Sacramento Ca, along the 1100 block of J st, almost in the heart of downtown, there resides a culinary treasure known as Tony’s Deli. This humble purveyor of fresh food has 100+ 5 star reviews. I have tried 3 hot sandwiches now, 2 house staples and a special. Not one ranks below an 11. The flagship, The Godfather is a blend of salami, sausage and peppers, marinated to perfection. No heartburn, strangely, maybe it’s the fresh bread? Chicken breast pesto is another treat. And today’s special, fresh jalapeño cheese bread, prime rib Philly cheesesteaks. Elias and Jacob turn out amazing food 5 days a week until 3pm. If I could give 6 stars I would!!
The most delicious sandwich I ever had in a long time.
So glad to have found this gem before going to Miosa Bridal right next door. Every sandwich looked so good it was hard to even choose, but I went with the eggplant sandwich. I appreciated the addition of the brownie, too! Friendly and fast service. Definitely would recommend this place!
