Temple Coffee Roasters generously contributed to me having a pleasant morning, with their hot latte, which I enjoyed at a window-side table within their spacious, airy, minimalist-aesthetic, cafe. I am not often in Sacramento, but I'd certainly drop by for another coffee should I ever return to the city. It was an all around positive experience.

Fabulous artisan coffee house. This is not Starbucks; your coffee may not be delivered in 2 minutes or less, but it will be perfect and poured with love and an artistic twist. Enjoy!

We biked downtown Sacramento and stopped here for a quick pick me up!The vanilla latte was good! I was also very impressed with their Vanilla Cold brew with cold foam! It was perfect

For a coffee aficionado, this is my kind of place. Wonderful selection of boutique and gourmet coffees. Beautiful offering of beans for pour over option. A smooth and punchy latte served in my favorite flat handle thumb rest style mugs from NotNeutral (one of the best coffee investments I've made). Modern sparse but chic decor. Great for grabbing a cup to relax and start the day or posting up for a bit to catch up on work emails. Even though I'm avoiding carbs, the pastry case almost proved to be beyond temptation. For people looking to expand their coffee experience at home via beans or brewing vessels, Temple offers a great retail section in store and online. Oh, I neglected to mention, all of these offerings come at a very reasonable price without sacrificing the slightest in quality.

The Mexican mocha was really good. Would get it again. The ambience is also nice. Great spot to meet friends and catch up over coffee. Parking is a little challenging.

Lovely interior, friendly staff, easy to navigate. I got the gingersnap latte and a shortbread and they were absolutely delicious. Really comfortable atmosphere as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Delicious unique Cafe in Sacramento within walking distance from the Macy's parking garage/to charge the Tesla. The Cafe is near a greenery park, Cesar Chavez Plaza, and local ice skating rink.We ordered the Mexican mocha.

A fellow business owner and I stopped by yesterday evening for a quick tea break and I recommended Temple for the great tea & latte options. After my experience yesterday, I’m not sure I’ll go back. As a business owner, I understand times are tough but we as leaders must train our staff to appropriately communicate mask mandates to customers walking in. We walked in and stood in line, 6 feet apart and totally didn’t realize we didn’t have our masks with us. Wearing one is no problem, it’s what happened beyond this point that has left a sour taste in my mouth. I saw the male barista an older gentleman, somewhat aggressively saying something to the customer ahead of us and gesturing towards us, I asked the customer what he said and he felt bad and just gestured “oh he just wants you guys to put masks on, sorry”. It’s not what was said, it was how it all went about. I started giving him my order and the barista rudely cuts me off and said he wouldn’t take my order until I put a mask on. I grabbed our masks, put them on and told him my order, which was a matcha latte with almond milk and honey, we both got the same thing. After the drinks were made, My colleague says he thinks the barista put milk in both, I go back to ask him and he refuses to speak to me without a mask on and says yes he did put milk in my latte. In a demeaning tone, He tells me to go sit down and he’d remake my drink. I got my drink remade and don’t think he remade it because I had a horrible headache all night after that latte which is what happens normally when I’ve drank dairy. To the owner, experiences like this can have you lose customers. In these trying times I’m sure you’d like to know about experiences like this so you can train your staff on how to articulate touchy situations, especially surrounding mask mandates and Covid. A little grace and respect can go a long way. Sadly I’m most likely not going back to Temple.

I am passionate about good coffee. Temple is my favorite of any place, in any city. I would even argue that my love of coffee has been most influenced by Temple. The staff and aesthetics of their physical locations makes for a great experience, but their greatness is found in the beans. I live in Portland now but make sure I have Temple whole beans delivered. Don’t settle for anything less.

Love this cafe. They’re professionals.
