Sad to report that my second experience at SusieBurger didn’t go well. Originally I came here last year and was served some of the best burgers I’ve had in awhile. Unfortunately this past Friday I was served some of the most unsavory burgers. My wife and I were even jipped on our fries. Be cautious if you go, I believe they’ve lost their touch.
We popped in to Suzie's yesterday and ordered some of our favorite burgers along with fries. I should have had a clue when I asked if the pastrami was locally made or what brand it was to add to my burger! The young kid/cashier hemm & hawed a bit & said he could go back to the kitchen and ask. As in the past, our cashiers would have just turned around to the cooks and asked them. Not the case yesterday.Needless to say, the so called Classic cheese burger was about the size of a tiny kid's burger! The beef could not have weighted more than maybe 2 ounces with cheese! And the fries, my friend said it best, they tasted as if they had been poured out of a bag from the freezer! So sad! The fries looked nothing like the days of old Suzie's.. even tho they too had changed from skin on fresh fries to a brand of fries that had a questionable gluten free coating.Alas, on our way out I asked the cashiers if the ownership had changed and they said yes! At the pace they're going, many of us 'old timer' Suzie's faithful will not return I'm sure.Goodbye, Suzie's... we loved thee well~
Nice location off the feee way. Spacious locations. Inside and outside dinning. Fries are delicious I’m a fan of the bbq bacon burger. Friendly customer service and knowledgeable staff. Also was a plus that they offer military/veterans discount. My first visit here I came alone; loved the food so I brought my family back to enjoy. I even tried a chocolate milk shake this visit.
I tried the cheesesteak and it was really good!
walked past this place dozens of times but never stopped by. Area is populated by homeless etc so not really a spot where you feel safe to stop by with family.Glad I did stop by- the burger was really good! French fries- not so much. I’d definitely come back for the burger.Hate to see the condition of the city the way it is in this area as I’m sure it doesn’t help business.
Came in today and had lunch. Spoke with James Sullivan and he was very nice and accommodating. The food was great and the restaurant was clean. Very nice outdoor seating. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.
Ordered online for curbside. Turns out they no longer have curbside due to COVID. How is the customer supposed to know that? After a few minutes past my time, I went inside. My food had been sitting there, but my name was never called on the outside speaker. So the food was cold, yay. I'd also asked for my tomatoes on the side. They placed them in the bag UNCOVERED in an open container and put unsanitary ketchup packets on top of them. The food was ok once reheated, but customer service disappointing. Lemonade was yummy. Not sure I'd order for pickup again. It seems like the kind of place you have to eat the food there and get them to fix their mistakes on the spot.
MY FIRST CLUE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE EMPTY PARKING LOT...I am a long-time customer, and I was so disappointed with my visit today. I pulled into the parking lot, on a normally busy Friday, and thought "Wow...I must have beat the crowd today." Then I noticed there was no line at the registers during the typically slammed lunch rush. Say what?! Once I was handed my food, I knew something was seriously wrong. My cheesesteak, typically bulky and heavy, barely had any weight to it. I opened the bag to make sure I had the right order, and discovered a pathetic, dried-up sandwich with only half the meat and cheese it normally has. Ugh! I begrudgingly drove off as I didn't feel like waiting even longer for them to re-make it. Later, I did some research and discovered the restaurant had been sold and is now under new ownership...this explains a lot! Hopefully, they'll raise their standards soon, so I can return and raise my star rating.
Fresh ingredients. Vegan/keto/Paleo options. Prices for the vegan burger has increased to $11!!!
I've been a loyal suzie burger customer for 15 years and let me just say I am so sad with the new owners/management/waitstaff and direction of the whole establishment.I'm a little disappointed with this classic burger joint...I was CRAVING onion rings and they were out.The unsweetened tea was also just water.AND I was really looking forward to getting a chocolate dipped cone and this is what I was told, "we uh don't have any chocolate...cones...and the machine isn't working and I don't know why." Which one is it? It lead me to believe they may have just been too tired to do it, or just didn't want to do it. In all of the years I have gone to Suzie Burger, they NEVER not had onion rings or chocolate or cones or the machine was broken...So that was a soul crusher too. But maybe it was just an off day for the place.Other than that, the burgers were great all though they are much thinner and smaller patties than they used to be.I'm glad they changed the fries because now the fries have a delectable crunch on the outside and softness inside. But I was originally going to go to in n out but wanted a bigger burger, onion rings and a dipped cone and unsweetened tea...none of which I could have here today...Just sad ? ?
