We were visiting Sacramento for 1 day and saw the reviews for Sushi Cafe - so we tried it out - and we weren't disappointed. The sushi was very good, the staff was friendly, and the prices were quite reasonable. The only thing that disappointed was the Oyako Don - which was overcooked. All in all - this was a great find.
Neither the exterior or cluttered decor of this restaurant suggested 'sushi' to me and I was beginning to question my decision to visit as I was seated. Fortunately, I didn't judge this book by the cover. Fantastic selection of sushi and common Japanese entrees, and I chose the sashimi plate and two sushi rolls. So good. The prices were very reasonable, even more so by the large portion sizes.
It was such a good experience at Japanese food place, great service and atmosphere.
Their vegetable tempura entre was massive and incredible. Friendly service, clean restrooms, great food. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. Also their Sake Bombs were a lot of fun
This small restaurant is tucked in a corner of a narrow driveway off Folsom Blvd. and Alhambra Blvd. On street parking is available but limited. My friend and I had lunch here today. Service was efficient and unhurried. I had the small mixed Sashimi plate. The selection of fish was so fresh and nicely presented. My friend had a Bento box with chicken teriyaki and salmon sashimi. The chicken was perfectly prepared. We both ordered a glass of house chardonnay. It went very well with the delicious lunch. There are two small outdoor tables, inside are booths and bar seating. Come early or make reservations. It is a popular place.
First time there, the food was amazing! Staff was friendly. I will totally will be going back!
Asked for the most popular roll with no shrimp…got this. Won’t be going back.
I used to exclusively come to this location rather than the Freeport Blvd location because their Sesame Chicken was SO GOOD.It seemed as though the original Sesame Chicken recipe adopted at both location was only kept by this location and the Freeport location adopted a different more tempura like batter a while ago.Unfortunately this location has made the switch over as well and now both locations are awful. Looks like I’ll have to find a new Sesame Chicken restaurant entirely.
Everything was delicious and fresh. Our server was kind and attentive.
The sashimi here is SO FRESH. Great quality fish. I came back just for more sashimi. ??Their sushi rolls and Unagi Don were delicious also.
